While I admire their courage in the face of diversity and the overreach of the Canadian authorities, I find myself asking, “What would Paul and Silas do?”

People often pine for the “good old days,” when perhaps what we should be yearning for is a return to real New Testament Christianity.
Paul and Silas were arrested illegally and were under the cruel hand of a government that hated Christians and Christianity - yet they sang hymns and praised Jesus as they were bound in stocks. We have a tendency to fight and yell invectives (”Nazi! Coward! Gestapo!”).
How many will be both reached for the Saviour and encouraged to persist ministering to a world that hates them when we fail to demonstrate that we are rejoicing in the Lord, and again I say rejoice?”
Going to the Twitter link, there’s not ONE negative comment about the arrest.

When God brings down the curtain during the Tribulation, this world deserves what is coming.

IIRC Christian Churches in Canada have been held to closer oversight for over a decade now as to contents of sermons from the pulpit. Remember as well the government basically brought about the shutting down of what was Canada’s equivalent to FR which was Free Dominion. The government is using COVID as an opportunity to further crack down.
Canadians, in general, have been putting up with socialist behavior from their government for many years. I wonder how the average Canadian, Christian or no, feels about this latest outrage?
