Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, who describes herself as a “trained Marxist” while also owning four homes in high-end neighborhoods worth more than $3.2 million, celebrated comparisons of the American left-wing movement to the deadly Chinese Cultural Revolution orchestrated by Mao Zedong.
In a 2010 video of a United States Social Forum panel on “Transformative Organizing Theory” unearthed by the National Pulse, Cullors shares a story of a young activist in Arizona who showed interest in a left-wing book Cullors was promoting and compared it to Mao’s “Little Red Book.”
“He grabbed the book,” Cullors said, referring to “The 7 Components of Transformative Organizing Theory” by Eric Mann, “and he said ‘it’s like Mao’s red book.'”
Cullors was elated.
“I was like, ‘man that’s what I was thinking,’ and it was just really cool to hear him make that connection.”
Mao’s “Little Red Book” is a collection of 427 quotes Mao used as the former Chinese dictator engineered the mid-20th century cultural revolution with propaganda related to communism, socialism, Marxism and class. The work was first produced in 1964 by the People’s Liberation Army, which initially included 200 quotes from the Chinese chairman. The Ministry of Culture sought to distribute the title to every Chinese citizen and became required reading for schoolchildren.
Cullors said she recommended the Arizona activist she spoke with buy 10 to 15 of Mann’s book and form a group to discuss and disseminate its ideas.
The Hong Kong-based Dutch historian Frank Dikötter estimates at least 45 million died under Mao’s rule.
Which CLEARLY means she is NOT a Marxist. It means she's pretending to be one, for the purpose of gaining power and enriching herself.
What she is is a trained grifter and con artist.
and all those companies throwing money at her must also be Communist or just stupid
Nice lady... NOT.
(from Wikipedia) Estimates of the number of Chinese killed during Mao’s Cultural Revolution range from 500,000 to 20 million.
Her addresses are known, are they not?
Just sayin’.
What’s good for the gander should be applied 10X to the goose.
But yet loves all that capitalism offers her.
And the Marxists leaders are getting rich. Same old same old.
You go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain’t gonna make it with anyone anyhow.
... or maybe you will if the media establishment, the educational elite and woke capitalism all have your back.
I guess that it’s easy to be a “Marxist” when you have fleeced people out of million(s) of dollars.
About the most fake Marxist I’ve ever seen. Nothing she wears is less than $200.
I wonder how many crimes she could and should be charged with. Extortion? Racketeering? Fraud? Embezzlement? Theft? Blackmail?
It’s a shame that our DoJ/FBI and several other agencies have been so completely corrupted and compromised.
If you are a Marxist leader you expect…nay…demand a lavish lifestyle.
Poverty is for the masses.
Actually, this woman owning four homes while espousing wealth redistribution for everyone else is classic Marxism!
They have *always* been hypocrites...shared poverty for everyone, except us! We’re too important, you see...
If we could get the public to equate “Marxist” with “elitist hypocrite”, it would go a long way toward destroying their image with all the people who think these people actually care about them.
In communist countries it’s always interesting how the leaders are super rich while the population struggles along on meager food and services.
“The Black Book of Communism, a scholarly accounting of communism’s crimes, counts about 94 million murdered by the supposed champions of the common man (20 million for the Soviets alone [65+ million for communist China under Mao Zedong]), and some say that number is too low.”

“[Patrisse] Cullors [CO-FOUNDER “BLACK LIVES MATTER”] weaves her intellectual influences into this narrative, from black feminist writers like Audre Lorde and bell hooks, to Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong.
Reading those social philosophers “provided a new understanding around what our economies could look like,” she says.

“Mao Zedong was the Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party from 1949 until his death in 1976.
Mao is arguably the greatest mass murderer in history, eclipsing even the murderous Joesph Stalin in this regard.
Some 70 million Chinese, along with countless Tibetans, Mongolians, Manchus, Koreans, Hmong, Uyghurs, and other nationalities, perished at his hands during his long and brutal reign.”

Black Lives Matter co-founder describes herself as ‘trained Marxist’
by Yaron Steinbuch, New York Post, June 25, 2020
Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report.
Cullors, 36, was the protégé of Eric Mann, former agitator of the Weather Underground domestic terror organization, and spent years absorbing the Marxist-Leninist ideology that shaped her worldview, Breitbart News reported.
“The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia in particular are trained organizers,” she said, referring to BLM co-founder Alicia Garza.

“Mann was elected to SDS [Students for a Democratic Society] national committee in 1968.[18] He told the Associated Press that he believed in “continuous resistance” against “institutions and policies of corporate capitalism” and that SDS chapters transition from campus protests groups to community groups that would guide students as a “de facto government.”[19]
When SDS splintered into three groups in 1969, Mann, then a leader in the SDS faction, the Weathermen (Weather Underground), adopted the Revolutionary Youth Movement’s belief that violent “direct action,” a euphemism for terrorism, should be used as a tactic to dismantle the group’s perceived power centers of “US imperialism”.[20]
Mann and 20 others were arrested in September 1969 for participation in a direct action against the Harvard Center for International Affairs, which the Revolutionary Youth Movement saw as a university-sponsored institution for counter-insurgency.[14] [21]
Mann and 24 other Weathermen were charged with conspiracy to commit murder after two bullets were fired through a window of the police headquarters on November 8, 1969.
Mann surrendered to the police on four counts stemming from the November 8 incident: conspiracy to commit murder, assault with intent to commit murder, promotion of anarchy, and threatening.[22]
Mann was sentenced to two years in prison of which he spent 18 months in Billerica, Deer Island, and Concord State Prison ...”
