Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Health today confirmed as of 12:00 a.m., May 6, there were 2,476 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 1,166,692. Please note, one lab is still getting caught up with backlogged data and another lab submitted just over 100 test results dating back to more than a month ago.
There are 2,131 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19. Of that number, 467 patients are in the intensive care unit with COVID-19. Most of the patients hospitalized are ages 65 or older, and most of the deaths have occurred in patients 65 or older. More data is available here.
The trend in the 14-day moving average number of hospitalized patients per day is starting to come down, after peaking at 2,661 patients which is slightly below what it was at the height of the spring 2020 peak of 2,751 patients on May 3, 2020. The full 14-day moving average since the start of the pandemic can be found here.
Statewide percent positivity for the week of April 23 – April 29 stood at 7.6%.
The most accurate daily data is available on the website, with archived data also available.
As of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, there were 57 new deaths identified by the Pennsylvania death registry, reported for a total of 26,447 deaths attributed to COVID-19. County-specific information and a statewide map are available on the COVID-19 Data Dashboard.
COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution
Pennsylvania hospitals began receiving shipments of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine the week of Dec. 14 and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine the week of Dec. 21. The Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine was first allocated to Pennsylvania the week of March 1. On Friday, April 23, the CDC and FDA notified all COVID-19 vaccine providers that the pause in administering doses of the Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine has been lifted. Following the announcement, Pennsylvania resumed Janssen vaccinations. Vaccination numbers for Pennsylvania do not include Philadelphia, which is its own jurisdiction, or federal facilities, which are working directly with the federal government.

3,710,362 people are fully vaccinated; with a seven-day moving average of more than 81,100 people per day receiving vaccinations.

5,535,387 people have received at least their first dose.
This week, a total of 8,938,480 doses will have been allocated through May 8:
323,520 first/single doses will have been allocated this week.

First/single doses: 5,535,387 administered
Second doses: 3,403,656 administered
Mask-wearing is required in all businesses and whenever leaving home. Fully vaccinated people are permitted to participate in some activities without a mask based on CDC guidance released yesterday. Consistent mask-wearing is critical to preventing the spread of COVID-19.
There are 155,502 individuals who have a positive viral antigen test and are considered probable cases and 639 individuals who have a positive serology test and either COVID-19 symptoms or a high-risk exposure.
There are 4,438,842 individuals who have tested negative to date.
In licensed nursing and personal care homes, there are 71,083 resident cases of COVID-19, and 14,901 cases among employees, for a total of 85,984 at 1,588 distinct facilities in all 67 counties. Out of total deaths reported to PA-NEDSS, 13,166 have occurred in residents from nursing or personal care facilities. A county breakdown can be found here. Note that the number of deaths reported to NEDSS is not exactly the same as the COVID-19 related deaths reported by the death registry. The number of deaths among nursing and personal care home residents and employees is taken from the PA-NEDSS death data, as this information is not available in the death registry data.
Approximately 27,926 of our total cases are among health care workers.
For the first time nursing home deaths are allegedly less than 50% of total deaths--peak of a hair beneath 70% had occurred just about one year ago.

Pennsylvania Ping!

FReepmail me to be added to the list.
Here’s a nursing home death report;
“Write-up: pt passed away with an hour to hour and 1/2 of receiving vaccine. per nursing home staff they did not expect pt to make it many more days. pt was unresponsive in room when shot was given. per nursing home staff pt was 14 + days post covid”

Think about that, the 88 year old lady had covid, there were no emergency room or Dr. visits, she was expected to die, she was unresponsive when she was given the vaccine, and she died within two hours after the vaccine.
Since when is a vaccine which doesnt’t take effect for several days part of palliative care?
Seems like a gross betrayal of axiom “first; do no harm”.
If Philadelphia has a population of 1,591,034, and 795,228 Philadelphians have received at least 1 vaccine dose, and 545,476 are fully vaccinated, that's 49.98% and 34.28%, respectively.
If different parts of the hered are being vaccinated at different rates, it's going to be difficult to achieve herd immunity.
The idiot Wolf is not counting the 1.2 million in PA with natural immunity. That’s another 10% that will not get vaccinated…includes me.
And according to Bloomberg, there may be a link between COVID19 as a vascular disease and diabetes.
Can’t post Bloomberg on this site.
How in the hell does 8.9 million come to EQUAL 51% of the population being vaccinated must be that NEW common core math!!!
Experimental Injections are moving along
Ping!
I live in PA, and being healthy, white and male, I gave up on getting on the list for a shot.
I took a trip to Florida, and got my first shot there.
I just scheduled my next shot in NJ.
These connections were identified very early on. Epithelial cells are a prime target of SARS-CoV2 due to their expression of ACE2 protein. So, pretty much the entire cardio-vascular system is a target. Also, some studies found that almost 15% of people hospitalized with COVID were diagnosed with NEW type 1 or type 2 diabetes. No conclusive correlation as far as I've heard, nor if it is permanent or reversible.
And so naturally, the autofellatory geniuses like Bill Gates seize on telling our bodies to make a sh*t-ton of *spike protein* to "protect us".
The spike protein has been shown experimentally to induce abnormal clotting even without any virus; and mouse experiments show material from the injections is in organ systems all over the body within 24 hr post-injection.
There was no harm, they got paid for the vax!
We certainly have a huge number of gullible people in this country!!
