When I reach Jimmy Carter’s grandson by Zoom, he answers wearing a Raphael Warnock campaign T-shirt. Jason Carter is a lawyer and politician himself, mid-40s, animated and well-read, with blue eyes reminiscent of his grandfather’s. He’s just got off the phone with his 93-year-old grandmother, Rosalynn. It’s a special day; Joe Biden is on his way to the Carter house in Plains, Georgia.
“My grandfather has met nearly everyone in the world he might want to,” Jason Carter says. “Right now, he’s meeting with the president of the United States. But the person he’d say he learned the most from was Rachel Clark, an illiterate sharecropper who lived on his family’s farm.
“He didn’t pity her,” Carter says. “He saw her power. My grandfather believes in the power of a single human and a small community. Protect people’s freedoms, he says, and they can do great things. It all comes back to an enormous respect for human beings.”

Looks like Jill pulled the old fools finger.
Clinton took five southern states in 92 and again in 96.
Yeah, I got some like that in my family - I am sandwiched between the two generations - dimwit elderly relatives who think Roosevelt saved the world and Democrats are for “little guys like us” (all were very wealthy). There was no changing their minds, they believed Republicans only helped “the rich.”
They voted heartily for Carter - both times - then idiots like Mondale, Clinton - all the way to Obama. Nothing would change their minds.
Now I’m battling the younger generation who think Biden is a savior and God and Trump is ‘Orange Man Bad’ - these over-educated little snobs are 20’s to early 30’s - with absolutely no understanding that Biden’s policies will hurt them in particular, especially since they are White. They’ve already experienced the effects of Affirmative Action and discrimination against Whites in college admissions and the job market - yet they still think Obama walks on water and with Biden, “the grown-ups are in charge.” No changing their minds, skulls full of mush is what they are!
Glad I’m not young again, I wouldn’t be able to stand it. I don’t like what’s coming - but this is what THEY voted for. Some people have to learn the hard way, even if they are family members.
“Maks? What maks?...”
Nonsense.
There is no question that Cater HATED America.
If it was incompetents he would have just purely by chance had made a choice that would have been good for the country.
He didn't.
That is not incompetents, that is carefully planned sabotage.
He was not incompetent. He did exactly what he set out to do.
Cheers!
Carter was a good Christian man, a graduate of the Naval Academy and a decent governor. But he was a horrible President. He was WAY over his head and was in quicksand most of his 4 years. Obama was our first America hating President and biden was his VP. Biden is being lead around on a leash by obama.
Each destroyer has built on the work of their predecessors.
Please name ONE just ONE thing he did to help the US during his term.
You can not because there was not even one.
Name one person of good will he supported since.
You can not because there was not even one.
That is bone deep malevolence straight from hell.
I was graduating HS in 77 and my father who was retired Army Vet (WW2 and Korea), forbade me from joining the military while the peanut farmer was president.
When Carter was running against Ford, my oldest brother, a wounded Vietnam Vet, came over to the house and starting bragging up Carter. I was in the front yard and next thing I know is my dad and brother come out the door ready to go duke city on each other.
I think my brother finally apologized to my dad in 1990 before my dad died. Now my brother is as hardcore against democrats as my dad.
I remember helping my dad push the car in to gas station after waiting in a huge line.

Many years ago, I worked with a nice guy who joined the Army in ‘78. He said that during the Carter years, they’d march out for target practice and not drop a single round. Then they’d march back having done nothing.
He said when Reagan took over, they’d march out and almost melt the weapon’s barrel.
Remember the “Win!” buttons?
I remember my grandmom getting 18% on her savings bonds. Of course dad said you couldn’t afford to buy anything.
