New Jersey is launching a program it's calling a "Shot and a Beer" to encourage those 21 and older to get vaccinated, Governor Phil Murphy announced Monday. Any New Jersey resident who gets their first COVID-19 vaccine dose in the month of May can take their vaccination card to one of more than a dozen participating breweries for a free beer.
Murphy announced the incentive program on Twitter, where he listed the program's current participants:

A person has lost every iota of his self-respect when he’s willing to sell himself for a free beer.
I can see a drunk Uncle asking for another round:
“Give me another shot, make that two!”

Ahh, like in the old days when we would give blood then get smashed on a shot and a beer.
So Crispy Creme offers free donuts, this place offers free beer if you allow the government to give you a shot. All in the name of health of course. This is 2021 in a nutshell.
A reliable source tells me that alcohol temporarily weakens one’s immune system. So the booze is counter productive. With the stupidity sweeping the nation, this does not surprise me.

I don’t think people realize that in NJ, “shot and a beer” involves gunfire from drunk drivers.
What happens when that’s the beer that puts them over the limit and they kill someone on the way home?
