Afghanistan War: How can the West fight terrorism after leaving?
https://news.yahoo.com ^ | April 24, 2021 | Frank Gardner

US, British and Nato combat forces are leaving Afghanistan this summer. The Taliban are growing stronger by the day while al-Qaeda and Islamic State groups are conducting ever more brazen attacks. So how can they be contained now that the West will no longer have military resources in the country?

Western intelligence officials believe they still aspire to plot international terrorist attacks from their Afghan hideouts, just as Osama Bin Laden did with 9/11.

It is a problem that is starting to vex UK policy chiefs as the deadline of 11 September for US President Joe Biden's withdrawal draws closer. As the British chief of defence staff, General Sir Nick Carter, said recently: "This was not the outcome we had hoped for." There is now a serious risk that the gains made in counter-terrorism over the last 20 years, at enormous cost, could be undone as Afghanistan's future takes an uncertain turn.

"The problem," says John Raine, a regional security expert at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), "is the situation's potential for morphing at a speed and into something with which the Afghan government, even remotely reinforced by the US, can't keep up."

The US has been the protector of the world.

Our military has fought and died on foreign soil too long for so little gain.

It’s time to come home and protect our people

It seems inevitable that shortly after we leave the Taliban will take control.

The first challenge will be what happens to those Afghans who sided with us? Will this be like South Vietnam and a million Afghan refugees will try to flee?

There will be great pressure to resettle them in the United States.

How can we win against terrorism? We can start by naming the enemy instead of some vague term like ‘terrorism’. The enemy is Islam.

Easy fix.
For each U.S. citizen killed by a terrorist, one Democrat congresscritter will be killed in retaliation. After all, why go for the little guys when we can off the slimy leaders?

I like possible solutions

How can the West fight terrorism after leaving?

Start with banning Muslims from entering your country and deporting Muslim non-citizens. Oh, and before we leave Afghanistan (like that is really going to happen, Xiben is sending more troops), salt their poppy fields.

Not let them come to America for any reason? Stop giving them money? Bomb them randomly from the stratosphere?

How’s that some outside the box thinking?

Identify a specific, credible threat and eliminated it.

You don't wander around in their back yard for 20 years, relying on locals to play on your side.

Al-Qaeda is destroyed. So who cares if Taliban takes over Afghanistan after we leave. They can have it.

“The enemy is Islam.”

Probably 99.9% or more of all Afghan government employees/soldiers are Muslims.

From the constitution:

“Afghanistan shall be an Islamic Republic, independent, unitary and indivisible state.”

“No law shall contravene the tenets and provisions of the holy religion of Islam in Afghanistan.”

“The state shall adopt necessary measures to foster education at all levels, develop religious teachings, regulate and improve the conditions of mosques, religious schools as well as religious centers.”

“The source for the calendar year of the country shall be based upon the migration of The Prophet (PBUH).”

“The national insignia of Afghanistan shall be comprised of an emblem and a pulpit in white color, at the two corners of which are two flags, inscribed in the top middle the holy phrase ‘There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his Prophet, and Allah is Great.’ This shall be inscribed and superseded on rays of a rising sun....”

“The national anthem of Afghanistan shall be in Pashto with the mention of ‘God is Great’ as well as the names of the tribes of Afghanistan.”

“Any kind of discrimination and distinction between citizens of Afghanistan shall be forbidden. The citizens of Afghanistan, man and woman, have equal rights and duties before the law.”

“Life is the gift of God as well as the natural right of human beings. No one shall be deprived of this except by legal provision.”

“Formation and operation of a party on the basis of tribalism, parochialism, language, as well as religious sectarianism shall not be permitted.”

Education is the right of all citizens of Afghanistan, which shall be offered up to the B.A. level in the state educational institutes free of charge by the state. To expand balanced education as well as to provide mandatory intermediate education throughout Afghanistan, the state shall design and implement effective programs and prepare the ground for teaching mother tongues in areas where they are spoken.”

“Before assuming office, the Ministers shall take the following oath in the presence of the President:
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, I swear in the name of God Almighty that I shall protect the Holy religion of Islam, respect the Constitution and other laws of Afghanistan, safeguard the rights of citizens as well as independence, territorial integrity and the national unity of the people of Afghanistan, and, in all my deeds consider the Almighty’s presence, performing the entrusted duties honestly.’”

Like the Vietnamese after the fall of Saigon.

My proposal on 9/12/2001 was a travel and immigration ban with most nations of South Asia, Mid-east and North Africa. We can’t change their culture, but we can keep terrorists out of the USA. Cheaply, easily and effectively.

But our globalist masters in DC decided that endless wars, massive debt, and mass immigration was a better idea.

How about a few low kiloton nukes on their camps/bases. Bush should have used them on Tora Bora when Bin Laden first ran that direction.

“Article 149 • Unamendable provisions
The principles of adherence to the tenets of the Holy religion of Islam as well as Islamic Republicanism shall not be amended. Amending fundamental rights of the people shall be permitted only to improve them.”
