Not one to discard a useful political prop a moment before its allotted time, President Biden is milking the ominous optics of the black mask for all its worth. The Biden-Harris administration --- as COVID-created a phenomenon as anything that’s escaped the Wuhan lab --- is not ready for a return to complete normalcy just yet. At his sparsely attended address to a joint session of Congress last Wednesday night, Biden signaled his wish to yet extend the crisis atmosphere that’s held Americans by the throat for over a year. Though fully vaccinated (as was everyone in the chamber,) he pointedly approached the podium fully masked, slowly removing it only when ready to speak. Behind him sat Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi, both still ostentatiously trussed. The symbolism was unmistakable, and utterly depressing...
Fear is the Democrat Party’s coin of the realm. Fear, in all shapes and sizes; coming at you from all directions. Fear of the still-hovering Donald Trump, and the Deep State dismantlement he attempted. Fear of the indelible bigotry of white people --- inherited just by virtue of being born white. And perhaps most profitably in political terms, fear of the continued scourge of COVID-19. Unremitting fear, to such an extent, that it justifies the insanely irresponsible profligacy Biden seeks to advance.
Respectfully parting company with FDR, “fear itself ”is not “the only thing we have to fear,” sadly it’s become the only thing Democrats have left to peddle!...
The mask, Biden’s chosen combat headgear, was used quite effectively during the 2020 campaign to convey the false impression that it was he, and not President Trump, who was truly serious about fighting the pandemic....
Joe’s mask obsession, faintly ridiculous a year ago when the risk of infection was far more acute, is now laugh out loud funny.

It just gets more ridiculous...las week I was in Phoenix, AZ at the Desert Botanical Garden (obviously, outdoors) and they were obsessed with making the visitors wear masks while we walked around - literally in the desert - viewing the cactus. And to make it even more ridiculous, you had to wear it when you were walking but you could lower it if you were stationary (taking a photo or something). They also had signs declaring that it didn’t matter if you were vaccinated, you still had to wear a mask.
They’re never going to let it go.

Not much of an incentive to endure the vaccination side effects, is it?
Joe gets little to no respect without the mask. With it, he may as well be wearing a rainbow wig and floppy shoes.
He makes it obvious that it’s a charade. Walking alone with one. The only one wearing it when his minions are crowded behind him wearing one. It’s really quite pathetic.
It’s the same as repeating a lie over and over until most believe it’s true. Wear the mask over and over and some still believe it’s a necessity.

Echoes some thoughts I’ve posted a couple of times before:
I have reluctantly come to the unfortunate and dismal conclusion that the election—if it was merely close and not overwhelmingly stolen (AND I BELIEVE IT WAS STOLEN...I’M FROM PENNSYLVANIA!)—became a referendum on COVID response.
Maskers vs. non-maskers.
“Safety” vs. freedom.
Hula hoop circles vs. airport rallies.
The Karens and Kevins “won”.
Even before he went senile, Biden was a gaffe a minute politician. He was always putting his foot in his mouth. The mask has become a blessing for him in that regard. The less he says, the better for him politically.
I guarantee you will see people in the United States wearing masks for the REST OF YOUR LIVES.

Follow the money. Those who contributed to Biden’s campaign who are profiting from the continuance of this charade are the ones who Scold Joe When not wearing a mask.
He always wears a mask when in the public. The inside of the mask has been medicated to help his breathing, to help his walking, and to help his brain not to fold up. JMHO of course.

It’s time to turn this economy around and get people back
to work, items on the store shelves, etc. etc.
It would be fitting for him to die of Covid infection... fully vaccinated and masked at all times.
They’re definitely giving mixed messages on this vaccination thing. First off, it was going to be the key to putting an end to this nonsense, which is why a lot of people got it...not because they were worried about getting Covid, but because they thought this would let them get back to normal. As soon as the government realized this, Fauci stated with his “well, maybe you’re not safe yet, blah, blah, blah.” And when fear obviously wasn’t working well enough anymore, they just slapped more severe restrictions on.
When I was traveling, every airport (and even my flights) had a creepy voice announcing that “federal law requires wearing a mask at all times...EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN VACCINATED.” This was followed by a cheerful reminder that failure to comply would result in fines and imprisonment.
It definitely reduces the incentive to get vaccinated, but then, irrational self-contradiction is a leftist specialty. And nobody ever calls them on it.
Yes. I saw some child abuse in the. Garden...a masked 20-something mother was trying to make her 3 year old put a mask on. She said, “Time to mask up. Just like mommy, just like a big girl.” The little girl repeated “Mask up.”
I hate that expression so much. It’s meant to make this unnatural and unhealthy practice sound normal and just routine, like getting dressed in the morning. I hate it, I hate it. And I think you’re right, some people will never let it go...which is fine, but the problem is that they want to force it on all the rest of us.
My wife thinks that his obsession with wearing the mask and near panic when he thought he lost it, is a sign of this dementia.
Of course he has dementia, he’s a functioning idiot. But dementia progresses quickly.
