Pentagon cancels Trump-era border wall construction paid for by military funds

The Pentagon on Friday announced it is canceling all border wall construction projects that were paid for by military funding -- part of a broader effort by the Biden administration to cancel the Trump-era barrier.

Biden issued an executive order in January halting all construction projects related to the wall so that a review could take place. More than 450 miles had been built during the Trump administration and approximately 350 miles (more) was already funded -- some of that with money diverted from the Defense Department...

The Pentagon said that funds would be used instead for previously deferred military construction projects, and that the list of deferred projects is being reviewed...

However, the White House has said that "limited" additional wall construction has been funded, despite an overall pause in construction -- after a report that the head of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had said "gaps" in the wall could still be filled.

"Wall construction remains paused to the extent permitted by law. So some has already been funded through congressional authorization and funding allocation," White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.

Well, its official - many wall projects are being formally terminated, not just suspended.

Those miles in the Rio Grande valley and Laredo Sectors of South Texas, that were funded with direct Congressional appropriations might still have a chance, but those funded with diverted DoD money just got the ax.

“The surrender to Mexico is now complete”

If you mean the Mexican Cartels, I heartily agree. Biden is complicit with their Narco-Terrorism, Human trafficking,
Sexual Slavery, and Drug Running. Find a way out, Joe! Certainly, you can talk your way out of this one “dah duh hmmm, er...”.

This is impeachment material, if anyone is listening.

... But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security ...

It’s cute you think Joe is in any way involved in making policy or his own destiny.

When AOC praises Biden for his being more liberal than she and the other Marxists hoped for...he’s a real danger to this nation.

You mean like transgender surgery, as well as hormone therapy?

"Biden is complicit with their Narco-Terrorism, Human trafficking, Sexual Slavery, and Drug Running."

He's probably getting a 10% kickback from the cartels. Democrats don't do anything unless it benefits their own pockets in the end.

Your comment is well taken. “Joe” is a euphemism of sorts, a mocking one. I am not sure that he is not a cork headed ventriloquist’s dummy, and has been for a while. McCarthy would be proud, Charlie McCarthy, I mean.

The most radical President we’ve ever had.

It was Paul Ryan and China Mitch who refused to support Trump on the border wall. Had they done so it would have been built.

"The Pentagon said that funds would be used instead for previously deferred military construction projects …"   such as transgender rec centers, beauty parlors for transvestite soldiers, gender mutilation surgery, etc. etc.

#16: "It was Paul Ryan and China Mitch who refused to support Trump on the border wall. Had they done so it would have been built"

That's right. You nailed it in a nutshell. Ryan gaslighted President Trump for 2 years. Ryan knew full well all he had to do to cripple the wall was to run out the clock until the midterm elections, and his "retirement" from congress.
