Can’t you just go to you tube directly? I have the app on my tv. I’d think it would be standard on all tvs now.

There's a difference between regular YouTube and YouTubeTV...YouTubeTV is the paid streaming service for live television.

Some older TVs come with some apps (streaming channels) already installed, but they may not allow the user to add new channels the way Roku does. I have a little 32" Sharp TV in the bedroom that is pre-loaded with Roku for streaming channels. This means I will not be able to watch any Youtube content on that TV.
