Senator Tim Scott declares America 'not a racist country,' and leftists step up to the plate to prove him wrong, hurling racist epithets

Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina made an eloquent, uplifting speech on behalf of Republicans, in response to Joe Biden's quasi state of the union address.

He spoke of racial grievances, real ones, including a recent instance when the Washington Post's bigfoot fact-checker Glenn Kessler attempted to debunk Scott's impoverished background in the Jim Crow South as somehow 'privileged,' with revolting claims that Scott "had it easy," which was beyond horsehockey. Scott left egg all over Kessler's face.

Scott spoke kindly of single mothers, such as his own. He spoke of his own failures and successes, and he blasted Biden for his divisive diktats in his first 100 days, pointing out the many occasions when Republicans cooperated with Democrats and their big spending plans. He defended Georgia's vote integrity law and focused on re-opening schools, putting the blame where it belonged, on greedy teachers' unions. He radiated honesty and sincerity, which stood in stark contrast to fraudy, mendacious Joe who came off like the banjo player in 'Deliverance' as he spoke.

It was a well-received speech, based on pundit after-talk on the nets. The transcript can be read here.

And that didn't sit well with the left, which, true to form, reverted to their roots, put on their white hoods, and hurled nakedly racist insults at Scott as if to shame him for attempting to find common ground with Democrats and speak truth to power.

#UncleTim, a riff on the racist epithet "Uncle Tom," drew 15,000 hashtags on Twitter, as leftists showed their true colors.

I'd totally be unsurprised to learn that Stephen Miller wrote that bullshit speech for Uncle Tim.

That would make more sense.

I thought it was a fine speech.

I wish we had a way to vote here, regarding opinions on events. There are a number of threads here, where people can’t stand Tim Scott. Among the reasons, he’s a RINO, he’s too close to Lindsay Graham, who is hated here, and he voted to certify the electoral votes for Biden.

Maybe some will weigh in here, on why we are supposed to hate Tim Scott. But apparently he’s just too liberal for a number of people on this site.

More Tweets from the leftist crowd:

Can't get over the fact on the very day that there were federal charges against those creeps in Atlanta who hunted down & senselessly killed a man at point blank range just because he was black, uncle Tim Scott has the absolute chutzpah to say that America is not a racist country— DrLJRose Wellness Ed (@idesignecourses) April 29, 2021

Tim Scott does NOT represent black people. He knows he is not liked, admired or respected in the greater black community. Saying there is no racism in AM is ignorant. It's part of the Republican lie. Am's racist are just loving Uncle Tim..— Charmaine (@charmage) April 29, 2021

Well I hate it say it, but the Rats win on this every time.

You’d think the Republicans would have learned after the Michael Steele debacle.

No one "woke" ever lynched someone, Uncle Tim.

This clown must have missed the entire Chauvin "trial."

Sen. Scott did not say that there is no racism in the USA. He did say that America is not a racist country.

There is a BIG difference.

Lame response by the Republicans, as usual.

“Well I hate it say it, but the Rats win on this every time.

What this shows me is you believe because a handful of hysterical Leftists scream loudly and happened to have the megaphone of the lame stream media to amplify their hysteria, that this indicates most Americans agree?

Congratulations, this proves the hate tactics of the Left have worked on you.

I don’t think it is personal to Tim Scott. Rather, it is directed toward the GOP in general.

It was a very fine speech. It was excellent in my opinion.

But speeches such as Tim’s have been given by the GOP for years. Then, they get in power and the words melt like ice in the desert. There is no action or no follow through. Instead, what we get is a party that is afraid of the media and all too willing to do the bidding of their Chamber of Commerce masters.

Donald Trump, for all his stylistic flaws, was not a words only GOP elitist. He said the words and followed through on them. For that, he sustained the wrath of the media and the American Left. And the GOP, by and large, abandoned him utterly.

Hatred for Tim, I don’t think so. Hatred for the powers behind him? Perhaps.

It was a nice speech, it was delivered well. Having a black man give the GOP talking points is never going to “own the libs.” It didn’t work over 4 decades ago when Dr. Sowell destroyed liberals on Firing Line, and it will not work now. Under no set of circumstances will it result in blacks “leaving the DemonKKKrat plantation.”

Here’s the thing: “Racism” is not a neutral concept with rules that apply evenly to all. It’s a concept that the Left made up in order to attack the (then) white Christian establishment. It’s based on their moral premises (largely, that anything or anyone white and Christian is evil). They invented it, they defined it. It didn’t used to mean what conservatives of a certain age think. It never did. It was always a weapon. Notice how nobody can really define it? Only conservatives think they can.

Pointing out hypocrisy is all well and good, but accepting their premise doesn’t lead to winning. California’s recall election will see the advent of “the Democrats are the real transphobes.” Ted Cruz did “the Democrats are the real global warmers” just last month.

Remember how Trump was going to get 25% (or more) of the black vote? Conservatives need to understand, the GOP will NEVER get a majority of black, Hispanic, or Jewish votes, not without adopting the positions of the Left. That’s what will happen. Many have already accepted their moral premises.

Biden and the Dems get up there and call us all white supremists, etc. Does the GOP ever return fire with a similar caliber? Not in a million years. Dems fight to win. GOP play flights. One side is winning. One is not.

“Biden and the Dems get up there and call us all white supremists,...”

Well, I heard Scott, Graham and Cruz call them on it. What did you expect the Rep to do? Should we call them racists and terrorists? Hell anyone who has been paying attention knows the racists and terrorists are blm and antifa.

Sorry to break it to you but most people are not paying attention. The proper response to Dem filth and obstruction is Trumpian counter punches. We’ll never get that from the useless and utterly corrupt GOP.

He spoke about the original sin in this country (I suppose he was referring to slavery) and the need for redemption. What does that mean? Redemption for whites’ sins equals reparations? Sounds like a new justification for reparations to me.
