When the phone is not in use, secure it with the battery out and in a privacy protection bag. Never turn the burner phone on at your home or place of business.
The FEDS must have been watching Rudy regular phone numbers with the NSA Mass Surveillance. His known phones must have not been used to leave the voice mail.
I think they were wanting to get their hands on the burner phone, so they can track down the history/location by MSIN/IMSI id. Once the FEDS have the MSIN/IMSI they can search the NSA Mass Surveillance database of calls for more info.

I used to work in Law Enforcement Relations for a major cell provider. I’ve said for over a decade that if you plan on doing anything nefarious, whatever you do, don’t bring your phone. They ping the towers and those pings are recorded and saved in a database for at least 7 years. The cops can use time travel to find out where were you as far back as at least 7 years.
Imagine just catching the Green River killer today, and cell phones existed when he was killing those girls, and his phone was in his pocket when he dumped those bodies. The case would have been open and shut in ten minutes.
It is like carrying large amounts of cash, a sign of being a criminal and probable cause.
Happened to a few of my crew. They use burner phones, and got a nice visit from the cops. Granted, they kept getting new phone numbers (annoyed me), and that is what tripped the LEO concerns.
Basically, lawyer/client privilege has been summarily sh!tcanned. They are simply trying to find any communication that they can use to hang Trump with...but to be honest, they’ve been trying to do this for the longest time, and most people have already seen through this.
But pragmatically, the real reason for the raid is to steal the information that Rudy has obtained for election fraud, and to try to counter any future attempt by states to authorize full forensic audits like AZ. While the Dems were essentially blindsided by the overwhelming transparency of the ballot-auditing process so much that they can’t even get their judges on board to rule against the audit without redpilling more and more fence-sitters, there are definitely communications that Rudy had with several non-RINO Republican state legislators who may be contemplating such action, and the Dems need to get their blackmail schemes up and rolling against these officials before such moves can be made.
Rudy probably disposed the burner in the regular trash instead of an electronic recycling bin. Hence the raid.
For the sake of argument, let’s say Giuliani had a phone that he did not let other people know about. Is that a crime? Or does it become a crime because we call it a burner phone?
