I agree. If ever there was a moment to say: "We are going to fight to stop the socialist takeover of our economy, education system, and national inheritance, and we ask you to join with us!" --- this was the moment.
I don't know, and I've asked, why some folks are giving Scott such high marks. McCarthy was saying after the speech to imagine Scott debating Biden ... it wouldn't even be close.

As soon as I heard him say “common ground” nothing else he said really mattered! Republicans are totally clueless! And sadly, Trump is once again trying to find common ground with the Republican Party; the party that screwed him over! I will never vote Republican again, even for Trump! I’m done!
