Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Wednesday that Red to Green Framework will be retired after 60% of New Mexicans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
She expects that to happen by the end of June. As of April 28, the governor said 41.6% of New Mexicans were fully vaccinated.
"In nine weeks, we are open," Gov. Lujan Grisham said.
The governor said once 60% of New Mexicans are fully vaccinated, she believes it is safe enough for the state to fully reopen.
While the Red to Green Framework will remain in place until 60% of New Mexicans are vaccinated, the gating criteria is being relaxed.
To be in the Green Level of restrictions, a county can now have 10 cases per 100,000 people and 7.5% test positivity rate. Previously it was 8 cases per 100,000 people and a 5% test positivity rate. Vaccination rates will also be included in the Red to Green Framework. The new framework will get into effect April 30.
In addition to announcing the state is on track to fully reopen, New Mexico will no longer mandate masks during all outdoors activities. It will adhere to the new CDC guidance that was announced Tuesday. Masks will still be required indoors.

Nothing will change. Mark my words. This is 2 weeks to flatten the curve. “In two months IF you get the experimental shot, we’ll open”.
Right, they will shift it to private businesses and let them demand proof, demand masks, etc.
It will continue on as oppressive as ever.

This is the new Democrat governor talking point. Roy Cooper, governor of North Carolina is saying the same sort of thing. The millions of Americans who have already gotten Covid and have natural immunity should be figured into the her immunity calculations.
What about the 40%?
They will be beaten until morale improves!
And the pattern will repeat. As tensions build, they will relax a little for midsummer. Then in the fall, watch for another outbreak that they will blame on those that did not take their shot. And the screws will be tightened again.

Here’s hoping your prediction doesn’t come to pass since my trip thru NM and into SW CO is in late September and early October.

This is another indicator (in my view) that the establishment plan is for Nationwide re-opening by the 4th of July.
Remember that 20% of the population are not eligible for the shot due to them being under 16/18 years of age. So you need 80-85% of the adult population to take the shot to reach 60% of the entire population.
I’ve heard of lots of those under 16 and 18 being vaccinated.
I thought red and green referred to chile in NM.
