When I was living in Brazil back around 2013, two young German tourists made the following mistakes 1) visited a favela/shantytown unescorted 2) Took photos of drug deals 3) Ran like hell once spotted. The last one may not have made a difference, although it could be argued that they might have at least been able to talk themselves out of the situation rather than get shot.

Will PR legalize recreational weed soon? Not my thing, but figured since they are starved for revenue.

Not quite but "medicinal" marihuana is legal, and getting a permit is way to easy. So, in effect it's recreational.

Legal weed has existed in Washington, DC for several years now. Further laws in motion for DC, MD, and VA. Below is a detailed article on these developments. I have not noticed specific changes in the metropolitan area as a result of DC’s law change. I know several over 50 people who now grow and use weed moderately now that it is legal to have 4 mature plants inside a home. Their productivity and general personalities have not changed significantly.
