One of the most perplexing things happening in this country has to be how millions of people who hated Donald J. Trump with every fiber of their being trusts him on this one thing: the vaccine! I mean, it may make sense if the vaccinated population were selling their soul to the devil (according to Trump haters) to defeat death itself. But they aren’t.
This author has been a nurse over 40 years and have never seen such blind faith or exuberance in experimenting with a serum/vaccine. I suppose in the 1980s if President Reagan had suddenly announced that a vaccine for AIDS had been developed in warp speed our society might have seen some semblance of today’s blind acceptance. I suppose the perfectly healthy that had little if no chance of contracting the AIDS virus would blindly inject a miracle serum into their God given body if they were told by the government, media, and scientists they must do this for society’s sake. But, without the internet, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and the like the results would not be quite the same.
Our society has entered a very slippery slope creating classes of Vaccinated Population (VP) versus Unvaccinated Population (UVP). For example, consider this text below sent to a woman from her mother. This UVP woman had booked a flight cross country to visit her family. This text clearly had the intent of shaming the UVP daughter. The words get to the heart of the dilemma that faces our society today between the VPs and UVPs. This is the text in part:

With that survival rate if Covid spreads to the entire population that would be 4.2 million dead Americans. Isn’t that worth getting everyone vaccinated?
We are lucky to be living in a free society, but a society like ours only survives if the people as a whole are rational and intelligent.
It isn’t Trump’s “vaccine”.
It was in the works way back when Hillary was supposed to win.
The Left happily goes along with silly Trump and his “Warp Speed!” because they know this.

Your definition of “free” is concerning. There are extremely intelligent, high placed, rational Doctors all over the world warning of these experimental vaccines.
It’s worse than that.
They’re encouraging us, enabling us, rewarding us for turning on one another.
And many of us are complying.

Where are the counter messages, for those who oppose or have done research with SCIENCE saying to do otherwise? And, to have FREE CHOICE??

Some of the biggest vaccine shamers are right here on FR.
They tell us we are fools for saying this is experimental, even though it is only approved thru emergency use.
They tell us we are fools for saying it is not a vaccine, even though Merriam-Webster had to change the definition of vaccine in 2020 to add mRNA
They tell us even if the survival rate is X% that means Y million will die. Even though nobody knows the denominator in that equation, and most surely the denominator is higher than we know.
Lastly they tell us we must get it to save hummanity, knowing full well the best immunity is given through contracting the virus and recovering.
They do all of this while they keep our freedom hostage. Our buisnesses closed. Our churches shuttered. Our children muzzled.

Unfortunately, it seems that the first question people have when they haven’t seen/talked to you in a while is “have you gotten your vaccination?” In person, on the phone - first question almost every time. This is annoying as hell and none of their business.
Like masks, if the non FDA experimental “vaccine” works (with Moderna not even meeting what’s traditionally defined as a a vaccine), it should be of no concern if I don’t get vaccinated or wear a mask. The issue is for anyone with eyes and ears is that the vaccines don’t stop the infections or stop the spread. The Feds first said they would but then slowly but surely changed their messaging to make this “clear.” The pro-vaccine people rarely consciously admit this. Most people opposed to the experimental non-FDA approved vaccine would take it if it actually prevented you from getting and spreading Covid - even though the virus has practically a 100 percent survival rate for most people.

The flu is not a new virus. Most people already have existing immunity to each strain.
The Covid death rate might not be much higher than the flu, but since it is a new virus there are no barriers to it infecting the entire population.

Anecdotes are not data. Now that Israel is almost fully vaccinated they have almost no new cases. The same is true of the UK.

I’m living my life. You seem to be the one that is afraid of getting a simple jab.
My guess is you are younger. In older generations there is still a belief in courage and sacrifice for your country.
I find it sad that even young conservatives have been infected by the globalist ideology that America doesn’t matter and is not worth taking risks for.
That argument might have flown in april 2020, but in april 2021 the virus has largely run its course in many areas.
Plus some people just aren’t all that susceptible to certain viruses.
The real evidence of the big lie of that sort of thinking driving any legitimate policy is the recent one year anniversary of “two weeks to flatten the curve.”
I’m not referring to deaths, though I agree many deaths are being attributed to COVID when they shouldn’t.
