Former DNC fundraiser was instrumental in luring Amazon to Virginia with lucrative tax incentives

The Washington Post, a news blog owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has issued a controversial endorsement in the Virginia governor's race, backing a white man over two qualified black women seeking the nomination.

The Post endorsed Terry McAuliffe, who was elected governor in 2014 despite having no political experience beyond raising money for Democrats. The Post, which also endorsed McAuliffe in 2014, explained its decision by noting that McAuliffe's rivals, including two black women serving in state government, are "relatively untested" and lack political experience.

Candidates Jennifer McClellan, state senator from Richmond, and Jennifer Carroll Foy, former state lawmaker, are each trying to make history and become the first black woman to serve as governor (of any state) in American history.

In 2017, when Amazon announced its search for a location to build a second North American headquarters. Then-governor McAuliffe was instrumental in persuading Amazon to select Arlington, Va.. The company was lured by tax incentives worth up to $750 billion.

The Post‘s endorsement does not mention the Amazon deal.

Adding to the weirdness is that also involved in the Levinson case was Persichini...

Joseph Persichini, Jr., Acting Assistant Director of the FBI’s
Washington Field Office, made the following statement:
The investigation into the deadly 2001 anthrax attack is one of the
largest and most complex investigations ever conducted by law
enforcement. Today, the FBI’s commitment to solving this case is
undiminished. The men and women of the FBI and the U.S. Postal
Inspection Service assigned to the case remain fully committed to
bringing the perpetrator(s) of these murderous attacks to justice.

If there is one square inch of land left in VA that Terry can develop and control he will and then hit the next state on his list to ruin. Probably WVA

Terry McAuliffe is about as much a swamp creature as there is.
little more than a Clinton butt boy.

naah...McAuliffe is easier to votescam than either of the black woman

The rural Virginia counties could never provide enough “cover” for electoral fraud to “believably” elect a black woman. They can fraud McAuliffe back into office..or so they are gambling.

Wait a minute - VA has term limits for Governors. You only get a measly 4-yr term. So how the Hell is Terry able to run again? Is it consecutive terms that the rule applies?

The law in Virginia is that governors can’t serve consecutive terms. They can run for election again after someone else has been governor.

Bezos’ endorsement of McAuliffe should tell you all you need to know about either of them. Silly me; I thought we were done even hearing about McAuliffe in politics.
