California Has Rejected 19.8% of Signatures in Gavin Newsom Recall Effort

California’s Secretary of State has rejected nearly 20% of all the signatures gathered thus far to force a recall election of Governor Gavin Newsom, according to figures released on Monday.
In a statement, Secretary of State Dr. Shirley N. Weber’s office announced that “the threshold of verified signatures reported by counties has been met for the recall of Governor Gavin Newsom. The valid signatures in the 10th report are 1,626,042, which exceeds the total of 1,495,709 signatures required. Counties still have until April 29th to verify the validity of any remaining signatures.”

Everyone be calm. This is about right and you’ll note that the recall qualifies for the ballot. This is typical due to petitions being signed by inregistered voters or not registered in the county where the signature is gathered, signing more than one petition, joke signatures, etc. I assure you the quality control by the people hired to gather signatures I. Front of stores isn’t the best

I suppose that a 20 percent signature rejection rate on mail-in ballots in 2020 would have given Trump a big win.

If Newsom is going to be useful, the recall will not be allowed to continue. If he is no longer useful, he will be replaced.
Notice how Cumeo has survived with no major scars?
If I had to bet Newsom will not be recalled. A suit will be filed and some judge will say “The recall is invalid and unconstitutional”
