I can’t for the life of me, understand why Democrat politicians seem to think it’s smart politics to treat constituents with contempt. Something about their parents never teaching them actions have consequences I guess.

They’re all fascists, Jim.
A certain percentage of the population are just mean nasty arrogant authoritarians. And born that way. Upbringing does nothing to mitigate it. These people gravitate to politics and other govt jobs where they can spend their time abusing people legally. Newsome is one of these guys. Well, the entire panoply of RAT Party officials is this way. When they get in power these sorts of people get rid of the decent people and eventually the entire organization is made up of such rotten people. We are seeing it now in full force in the RAT Party since they think they are untouchable.
Well, for one they’re not smart. They’re just conniving, snake oil salesmen/women. Once in the right position then refer to the Dem playbook to use that position to amass more control, money and hold people hostage. And then they get a some demographics under their spell to maintain those positions.
And worst of all, it is at every level. HOA, school board, city council, county commission, state, federal. Doesn’t matter.
