Yes, in a doctor’s office. Do you have much experience with Alzheimer’s? Do you understand that at some stages, patients can be uncooperative, unreasonable, or even aggressive (it’s hard to generalize; the disease manifests in many different ways)? Do you understand how dangerous it would be if an uncooperative patient were perceived to be “resisting”?
I’m glad the cops that found my FIL had the good sense to bring him home safe. But it could have gone another direction entirely. Cops scare me. I avoid them.

Our 97 year old aunt has dementia. It’s a hellish disease, one I wouldn’t wish on anybody.

A relative of mine had a stroke and needed 24/7 care etc. and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone
Me, too. I had two friends who had massive strokes, and they ended upon a wheelchair and a hospital bed, non-verbal, non-communicative, for years...putting their family through hell.
I would never want to end unlike that...

Hopp and Daria were in a romantic relationship and living together around time of arrest. This while he was married. Then he left. Probably trying to get “back in” her good graces showing off as a big tough guy. It just gets better and better.
