Abbot removed the mask mandate businesses did not. Every restaurant, grocery store, sams, Wal-Mart all have mandatory mask to enter in North Texas. Austin has local ordinances that were upheld by the state as Supreme Court as valid mandating masks. Texas is very much still masked Abbott is up for election he just made the businesses the bad guys. Texas also has vaccinated 60+% of the vulnerable population who are the most likely to get sick and end up in hospital.
I ignore all the stupid mask signs at places like Walmart and have never been challenged since Abbott removed the mandate.

We walk into most stores without a mask. Only Sketchers store and costco give us grief. We’re switching over to Sam’s.
Dr ofcs - that’s a different story. last week though, I didn’t have to have my nose covered. Nursing homes are the worst!

Here in North Alabama, most stores have started posting a sign saying “Masks Recommended.” instead of “Masks Required.”.
I’ve only encountered three stores still requiring masks, Costco, Fleet Feet, and Baskin-Robbins. Costco is the worst. I was told by the cashier that if I didn’t pull my mask above my nose, she couldn’t check me out.
Walmart doesn’t enforce the masks.
Lots of places still have the signs, but almost none give a damn if you don’t wear a mask.

utter BS; these businesses are completely free to unmask if they wish...they are making themselves the bad guys if they keep requiring masks...
For every business ‘requiring’ a mask, give them a 1 star rating. They will hate it. I tag every one here in Arizona.
