So basically making people live life like they’re walking around in a hazmat suit was a bad idea and a more balanced approach would have been better off...someone get Fauci and Birx some smelling salts after reading this
Not hard to understand why free people who are able to spend time in the sunshine and fresh air, without wearing filthy masks all the time, would be healthier than those in other states who spend every day locked up inside in the dark, breathing recirculated air through their bacteria-ridden masks. I see so many people walking by themselves outside with masks on, or driving alone with the stupid mask. It’s obvious that these fools think that the Wuhan virus is like poison gas or something, and that it’s in the air everywhere, regardless of whether other people are nearby. Such is the delusion and fear born of political and media panic-mongering.
Abbot removed the mask mandate businesses did not. Every restaurant, grocery store, sams, Wal-Mart all have mandatory mask to enter in North Texas. Austin has local ordinances that were upheld by the state as Supreme Court as valid mandating masks. Texas is very much still masked Abbott is up for election he just made the businesses the bad guys. Texas also has vaccinated 60+% of the vulnerable population who are the most likely to get sick and end up in hospital.
You wear a mask if you want, nobody says anything if you don't.
Everything is fully open.
Masks are for the STUPID!!!!
Masks Are a Ticking Time Bomb
Herd immunity and stuff...
From day one of this virus, the country didn’t need to shut down. Whoever came up with the idea, did so with nefarious reasoning.
Between riots, burnings, destruction, and a virus that finished the job of hurting everyone and stopping Trump from saving out nation.
Evil has been unleashed with the hate from the dems and media. And now we are in direct conflict with the dem party.. They are in the power seat and they know not what they are doing.. But what they do is not for our good..its to solidify their power.
God bless America again, Lord.
What Governors SAY the rules are, and what people DO, are two different things.
I believe the difference in indoor mask wearing in high-density areas where infection rates are >5% (which is where it makes a difference) is very small between states that are “open” and states that are not.
The rest of it is meaningless. Outdoor mask requirements are ending soon. Indoor masks with low infection rates (schools) are foolish.
Indoor masks in high density, high infection rate settings attenuate surges. This is true all over the world. The rest of it is ill-founded speculation.
My theory is that without a mask in normal daily life, you are more prone to continually sample amounrs of covid (a few whizzing up the the nose from time to time) that your immune system samples, catalogs, and fights. Its why the Creator has babies and small children put things in their mouth, continual sampling and cataloging.
Michigans case rate is plummeting. Down nearly 3000 in a 7 day period.

No mask signs now at Walmart I visited in Harris County, Texas. People are gradually going maskless. I carry one in my pocket for show.
While keeping in mind our stats are crap...
https://forward.ny.gov/percentage-positive-results-region-dashboard
NYS treats probables as new cases. Repeat positives as new cases. Asymptomatics as new cases. Insanely high cycle thresholds that result in positives as new cases.
The real new case numbers are likely far, far lower.
Please, for the love of god, FOLLOW THE SCIENCE!
The Michigan Medusa is EVIL
Maybe Covid infected illegal aliens are being transported to these northern States as opposed to staying in Texas.
Around east Texas, I see more people going without masks all the time. I do still see the idiots out walking in the park or driving with a mask on, those are probably hopeless. Saw several this weekend.
I’ve only seen a couple of places try to force me to put a mask on, this weekend. All over east Texas and the Port Arthur areas, I’ve had no problems, and its going slow butpeople are gradually coming around.
I was out this weekend checking some yard sales and such and decided I’d drop by the Alabama Coushatta reservation casino on the reservation outside Livingston. Why not, haven’t been to one in about 2 years, might be fun. Guy at the door tried to hand me a mask, I said no thanks, I can’t wear one for medical reasons (true). He said I couldn’t go in so I said bye and left.
So I went up the road a couple of miles to their convenience store and tobacco shop, needed to find a restroom bad. Same thing, girl at the register told me I had to leave if I refused to wear a mask. I said a couple of things I won’t repeat and left.
Fortunately a resale shop a couple of miles up the road did have a restroom, but I was still rather irritated. But I wasn’t rude to them, they are nice folks, I’ve been there before.
But I won’t be back to the reservation at all, they don’t realize either, that they now have a walking bad advertisement. The casino lost money and so did the store.
I bought all my smoking supplies there for 3 or 4 years, before I finally managed to quit, and have always stopped there on the way by to grab a drink or pack of cookies any time I’m in the area. Why not support local businesses, especially native Americans. No more.
The mask mandate has been lifted, and it always said “unless you cannot wear one for medical reasons”. Or close to that quote anyway.
The reservation, Alabama Coushatta, has gone full commie it seems. Complete, iron fisted control, you don’t have any rights any more and you have no say, we decide all.
So I’m no longer a customer.
Only a few other places have tried, a reasale shop run by mexicans, and the local SPCA where I tried to have my cat spayed. They have a senior citizens program where you can get it done cheaper, but when I went in to find out about pricing, the woman came in from the back room, picked up a mask of the counter and put it on, then informed me I was not allowed in without one. This was a few days before Texas froze over.
I’m pretty sure she did not disinfect that counter 30 seconds before that, and how long had she been in the front customer area without the thing on before I got there? How many times had she put it on and off? How many days did she wear the same one? Ridiculous.
I left and paid more somewhere else. And I let her know I was not pleased.
Nobody else has given me any trouble, one resale shop mentioned it long ago, I told the lady how it affected me, she has never said anything else. She rarely wears one when I’m inside either. I go there at least once a week.
Most big national stores still have their “mask required” signs up, but not one I’ve seen try to enforce it, the only place I’ve seen ever did as Best Buy, they refused to even let me come in and look around, long ago last year. I left and won’t go back. I’m not going to use their incredibly slow website, I want to pick it up and look at it first.
More people all the time show up without them, most stores seem to be leaving it voluntary, even though they still have their signs up requiring them. Maybe that’s for legal reasons. I get a few nasty looks now and then, always have, but no customers have said anything. Quite often they see me coming and grab theirs and pull it up, both customers and cashiers. I ignore it.
In general, people seem to be coming around but it’s slow. Most stores are not being picky about it. Those that are I left long ago. Strangely enough, the walgreens here didn’t say a word when I went in without a mask about 6 months ago. That one surprised me.
Others, though, have been pretty good. Wal Mart, grocery stores, Big Lots, Academy, small resale shops and more, none have ever given me any trouble, even last May when I took the last mask off and decided I was through with the damn things but the lockdown was still in high gear..
