A nearby neighbor once fired into the air on July 4. We were sitting on a deck having beers and heard a “pop pop pop” from the trees above and then a pop on the awning support behind my wife’s chair. Sounded like a heavy falling acorn. Found the mangled bullet on the deck and called police. Never simply fire a gun in the air, unless you have blanks I suppose.
