He, and all the other privileged elites, are not going to be living near the “refugees.” He will not have to worry about knives and “allahu akhbars.” His pension is protected by cost of living increases. His grandchildren won’t be attacked in school. So he doesn’t have to worry about the effects of bringing in millions of “refugees.”

If there are people remaining behind in these places, and if those people are able to live and to grow food, then that eliminates Kerry’s excuse for the “refugees”.

He’s saying it’s the same temperature in parts of the Middle East, Pakistan, and California. He kind of undermined his own argument by adding CA. Where are all the refugees fleeing CA because it’s too hot? (Yes I know people are leaving CA, but it ain’t because of the weather). Perhaps then, the refugee problem is not weather-related?
You don’t have to live like a refugee.
He rattles off a list of places with large, growing populations - which are at the same time incapable of supporting human life.
He's right: It's too hot in California to allow illegals in. That would be inhumane.

BTW, One reason for recent extreme temperatures is that people started measuring temperature quite recently.
If you measure it, you get it!
But if you go roughly an hour west-ish on that same day, it could be 100 degrees in Fresno. And then, if you go another hour west, in Hollister, it could be 80 degrees on that same day.
And then, if you go another half hour west, you'll find yourself in Monterey which could be 60 degrees on the same day that it is 130 degrees in Death Valley.
The point is, you don't have to travel half way around the world to escape those intolerable temperatures.
So there must be some other reason they are coming here. And some reason John Kerry wants them here.
