Captain: “Did you close and lock the door?”
First Officer: “Ah. . .no. I thought you did.”
Captain: “Oops. . .”

Sunk in 600-700 meters of water with a 200 meter crush depth. The math isn’t that hard. A rescue mission went out the door the minute they lost contact. I give FULL respect to anyone who serves (or served) aboard a sub. Takes huge brass ones to do that when on long patrols, knowing one problem could doom everything.

I think it had been rebuilt more recently, I believe by the South Koreans.

I’ll bet China is behind the sinking of that sub.

Submariners are a different breed. You wont ever hear one of
them say “ i hope that gets fixed”..theres little room for pessimism onboard, except during a card game or ships raffle. RIP brothers.

I read the article on Foxnews. One of the comments from screen name dEMSrDIRTY:
“Biden has issued a statement today...”We mourn the loss of the Beatles, and their yellow submarine. Paul was my favorite”

“ What in the world does Indonesia need with a submarine?”
*************
That’s an excellent question.
