Caitlyn Jenner announces plans to run for governor of California

“I am a proven winner and the only outsider who can put an end to Gavin Newsom’s disastrous time as governor,” Jenner said in a statement.

The Olympic gold medalist and transgender rights activist is a longtime Republican and joins a crowded field of conservatives hoping to unseat Newsom, who has been the state’s Democratic governor for the past two years. The petition signatures calling for a recall election are still being verified by California election officials, but if it passes, an election would be held “no earlier than Nov. 2 and as late as Nov. 30,” according to a timetable from the Los Angeles Times.

The 71-year-old Jenner famously voted for Donald Trump in 2016, citing the then-presidential candidate’s claims that he would help the transgender community. Two years later, Jenner issued a mea culpa in a Washington Post op-ed, saying that she was wrong and that “believing that I could work with Trump and his administration to support our community was a mistake.”

The media LOVES to rub the "Caitlyn Jenner is a PROUD, lifelong Republican" stuff in our faces because they know it embarrasses conservatives and makes us squirm.

The ONLY silver-lining I could see here would be in a hypothetical two-way race between Jenner and Newsom, we could give the left a taste of their OWN medicine and run a scorched earth campaign accusing anyone who is pro-Newsom of being "transphobic" and ONLY helping Newsom because they are mean nasty hateful bigots hellbent on keeping an openly transwoman candidate from holding statewide office. They need to get over their own "fear" and be willing to accept a transperson as Governor! I'd LOVE to see the lefties on the receiving end of their own cancel culture tactics.

Of course, its a recall campaign, meh, hard to see how we'd end up with a "Two way race" between those two clowns, especially since "Caitlyn" is probably the WORST of the GOP crop.

"Caitlyn" might actually be more conservative than Ahhhhhhhhhnuld at this point, but that's not saying much. It's more of a reflection of just how incredibly awful Ahhhhhhhhnuld is at supporting anything remotely "Republican" at this stage.

Yeah, they would probably simply ignore any accusations of "transphobia", and unfortunately the mainstream media would cover for them and avoid coverage of that side of the campaign. It WOULD be delicious irony if Gavin Newsom of all people got tarred as a transphobic bigot who used his incumbency advantage to block the election of the first openly transgender statewide official in the nation. Remember, Newsom was previously Mayor of San Francisco and was the waterboy for the Gaystapo crowd long before it became trendy in the REST of the country. Despite that fact, I think we could totally frame it in a way to damage Newsom... remember, Al Gore was Mr. Tree Hugger for decades and yet he was seen as "not Progressive enough" and lost votes to Ralph Nader of the GREEN Party, of all people.

The RATS have gotten a ton of mileage out of framing mentally ill degenerate people as some kind of "civil rights" issue, so trying to stop "Caitlyn" from becoming Governor would be akin to George Wallace standing in the doorway blocking black kids from attending school with white kids, using the RATS own twisted "logic"

ANY pro-Newsom actively, whatsoever, could simply be dismissed by the GOP as motivated by "transphobia" and the desire to keep a well qualified Transgender person from holding power. We could go around lecturing the RATS about how "Caitlyn Jenner is VALID" and Caitlyn Jenner exists, whether you like it or not". A Pro-Newsom ad wouldn't even have to MENTION Jenner at all to be accused of "transphobia"... after all, the late founder of Chick-Fil-A somehow made "hate speech" against gays when he NEVER EVEN MENTIONED GAY PEOPLE. It would be a hell of a fun campaign season, and ANYONE would be an improvement over Newsom (even a mutalted, mentally ill, faux "conservative", faux "woman" candidate, sadly) But, do the ends justify the means? I would say no, unless the ONLY option we had was Bruce "call me Caitlyn" Jenner.
