'This could explode' Boris urged to take a stand as Putin invasion sparks panic in Europe

UKRAINE is like "a tinderbox waiting to explode", a Tory MP has warned amid reports that more than 100,000 Russian troops are massed along the country's eastern border and in Ukraine in what he described as "increasingly destabilised situation".

And Daniel Kawczynski has said Germany’s decision to press ahead with its controversial Nord Stream 2 pipeline deal amounts to “pouring petrol” on the region – while revealing he had written to Prime Minister Boris Johnson urging him to “take the lead”.

Mr Kawczynski, the MP for Shrewsbury and Atcham, was speaking at a time of high tensions, with Ukraine’s defence minister Andrii Taran yesterday claiming 110,000 Russian troops were currently deployed at the borders. Ukraine's Foreign Ministry subsequently claimed Russia's FSB security service briefly detained a Ukrainian diplomat in St Petersburg yesterday.

Referring to Nord Stream 2, an undersea pipeline which would bring gas straight to Germany, bypassing the Baltic States and Poland, he added: “I think the British Government's lack of public challenging this project, through sanctions, which is what I've called for, is actually undermining Britain's role on the continent of Europe with many of these countries.

“What we're, what we're hoping for beyond what we're hoping for is that in September’s elections, the Greens who are currently polling 20 percent in the opinion polls in Germany, will become a partner with the CDU and the Greens will make it a condition on entering the coalition to say, you've got to stop this project.

Putin sees Biden as weak and he sees an opportunity.

Zelensky has the dirt of the Biden syndicate and Biden knows it.

Biden will be forced to intervene on behalf of Ukraine or else.

I think what the map shows is that a pipeline in Russia will feed tankers in the Baltic that take the natural gas to a port in Germany where a second pipeline transports it south into Europe.

That being said, the sane solution for the Russia-Ukraine thing is to cede various Russian-ethnic regions in the east and in Crimea (which they have occupied anyway) to Russia and shake hands. These borders are left over from the USSR days when they didn’t matter very much, everyone was a Soviet citizen or a dissident.

Pipeline wars started by europe. Syria was as well. When german and Russians ally.. its a grim reminder of their united ability to expel and kill by the trainloads. Kulaks. Heck the entire eastern european Christianity appears to be a result of their dispersal 5actics.
As i read this, it is here as well.

Peter,

The map shows the current and additional pipeline under the Baltic.

“Nord Stream 2 is a new export gas pipeline running from Russia to Europe across the Baltic Sea. The decision to build Nord Steam 2 was based on the successful experience in building and operating the Nord Stream gas pipeline. The new pipeline, similar to the one in operation, will establish a direct link between Gazprom and the European consumers. It will also ensure a highly reliable supply of Russian gas to Europe.”

In addition there is Blue Stream which goes around the south of Ukraine, bypassing it, to supply Turkey.

“The Blue Stream gas pipeline is designed to deliver Russian natural gas to Turkey across the Black Sea bypassing third countries. Blue Stream supplements the gas transmission corridor running from Russia to Turkey via Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and Bulgaria. Blue Stream has significantly enhanced the reliability of gas supplies to Turkey and it contributes to the gas market and infrastructure development in this country”

Too bad they haven’t been this concerned about the Islamofascist/third-world invasion that has been turning GB into a $hithole for 20 years.

We’ve got a nest of RATS in office. They’ll make sure we commit troops and material to the wrong side, whichever one that might be.

Two different issues. Poland and the baltic states would collect money from the Russian Natural gas monopoly for letting their pipeline run through the countries’ territory. Since they are NATO countries Putin doesn’t want to pay them;
Germany is willing to go along and let themselves become dependent on Russian NG in the process. Bad idea to let Russia gain leverage through control of your energy supply, but former East German Merkel is fine with it.

Looks like the borders over there will soon be ‘adjusted’ to where they belong, based on the ethnic makeup of the population. If anything, that should make the area MORE stable.

Trump would not have let Russia take Ukraine nor any place else without warning and sanctions and more....

I will simply add here that President Trump warned Germany and indeed the rest of Europe of the dangers in buying their natural gas from Russia and the completion of that gas line.

We're now seeing the fruition of his warning and the consequences of Germany and Europe in not heeding it.

That is all.

Biden claimed he wanted to talk with Russia last week but all this other stuff from the UK and other nations warships in the Black Sea, expulsion of diplomats etc. plus US sanctions sends another message.

Horrors! Germany is buying natural gas from Russia

Just like in the good old days from 1939-1941.

“It worked out for Czechoslovakia in 1993.”

Didn’t take force or the threat of force, but it certainly did work out. In this case, Russia, including Putin, were perfectly happy with Ukraine’s original borders after the USSR dissolved, as Ukraine had a pro-Russian government. Then Skunk Cabbage, after lighting up the Middle East, decided to change Ukraine’s government into a Russia-hating government, and so that forced Putin’s hand.

Oh well, if we’re involved, the leaders in Ukraine will learn just how EMPTY promises made by Europe are.
