New York City's EMTs and paramedics are being 'targeted' by anarchists who are smashing ambulance windows, a union leader has said - as he blasted the FDNY for leaving crews to fend for themselves.
Bricks were hurled through the windows of four FDNY vehicles and 'FTP,' which stands for 'F**K the police,' was painted on the sides of two ambulances in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, according to Oren Barzilay, president of the Local 2507.
There's been at least one of these types of attacks every month since January, all within blocks of each other, said Barzilay, who heads the union of over 4,000 Uniformed EMTs, Paramedics and Fire Inspectors.

The violence against the police can at least be explained away and understood to some degree.
Going after EMTs and firefighters is beyond anything I could conceive of. I cannot fathom in the least why you would do that to someone who is only there to help and you might be the life they are saving.
Unfortunately, when they get a call, they do not know who the person or people are who need the assistance. But when they get there, if they are attacked, they should just pull out.
Agreed. If they get to the scene of a car and start getting attacked, just get back in the rig and leave. If it happens too much in that area, which seems to be the case, I would totally support them in staging just outside the area And waiting for enough NYPD officers to get on scene to make sure it’s safe for them to come in.
The community has made their choice, and they can’t have it both ways anymore. They could act like a responsible adults and not attack police and now fire and EMS and get the services they need or they can suffer.
I know someone who used to work for a mechanical service company that specialized in larger commercial/industrial HVAC and electrical work. It was company policy where if they had to do work in certain cities or parts of cities, unless that location had a secured facility to park their vehicles they would bill them for at least one armed security guard.
Eventually, some of these areas got so bad they simply refused the work except for certain “essential” facilities like hospitals, police/fire stations, etc. as they almost always had their own security to begin with and usually had secured areas to park.
Way back at the turn of the millennium, I worked for a fiber optic company. Our installation crews & engineers returned from NYC telling astonished stories that they could not work in some areas of NYC without police escort/protection.

My son and SIL are paramedic firemen in florida. My daughter went from EMT to working as medical staff for amazon. No one is safe from these souless POS.

Forty years ago, this was fairly common in Puerto Rico, where even the police were fired upon from multi-story housing.
This is the behavior of stupid uncivilized tribes.
#4. You are not dealing with sane people. If you accept that premise, then every thing else falls into place.
They must demoralize and then destroy the police as the domestic institution that prevents Marxists from gaining safe zones in large, liberal/Marxist run cities (safe houses, safe zones, supply networks, etc).
Next, deny the people including injured/wounded police any medical help. A great demoralizing technique and it is working because no one is giving the EMTs covering fire for their protection, esp. in Red run NYC.
Once the police/National Guard start shooting back and killing the snipers, arsonists, window smashers, car attackers, etc., the terrorists will lose popular support and momentum. Then they will have to change their tactics but hopefully a full-scale police defense re firearms will take out all but the most hardcore of the street rioters.
Until then, the Left Marxists/anarchists are running the show.
What is more insane is that this was allowed by the town managers police a d others.

These are actually nests of war zones. Tbe fact they are tolerated is the greatest sin. They need to be removed as quickly and expediently as possible.
I had the same issue. On San Jacinto Ave. in Dallas we serviced a junk-ass chiller at an apartment complex. When it went down, the Section 8 ferals got a case of the ass real quick. I just left. The boss agreed completely as he didn’t want to lose a truck or a tech.
Not sure if it’s changed the the late 80s but EMTs told us that locally on all calls to section 8 housing no EMTs go on a call without police back up. Main reason was so that the ambulance doesn’t get looted while the EMTs are inside the residence.

My brother had a large client in really bad part of Detroit.The owners would tell him only to stop in very early in the m orning before the local citizens awakened.
