At least 150 of the thousands of refugee children who had been detained in recent weeks at the U.S. Mexico boarder have arrived here in Erie...
Children from different parts of Latin America are being separated from their families at the U.S. Mexico boarder.
Now the border crisis has resulted in migrants being sent to different places in the nation. Erie is one of those places.
There are 146 children, all of them girls, being housed at the Pennsylvania International Academy off of Oliver Road...
“They were just very excited to have a bed to sleep in with clean sheets and pillows and clean clothes,” said Trish Danner, PIO, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
Public Information Officer Trish Danner of HHS said upon arrival the children were tested for COVID and other medical conditions.
There’s a medical team from the National Institute of Health that will remain with the kids for the time being...
...the children will be fed three times a day. COVID-19 testing will also be done every four days.
The facility has approximately 498 beds total. The Erie Community may expect to see more children arriving in a few weeks.
We have been told that the children will be connected with sponsors or relatives within 35 days.

Each child is the camel's nose under the tent for their extended family, and probably a few fraudulent family members as well.
They bring a heavy load of fresh COVID with them, as well as the usual tuberculosis and stuff.
That’s the beauty of Biden’s border strategy — an extension of Obama’s.
1. Open the border.
2. Transplant the migrants to Republican districts so that they can pay the social and financial costs.
3. Use the new numbers to swing those Republican districts to Democrat.
The ultimate two-fer.
We are basically back in the pre Trump days when the wall didn’t exist and Obama ran the show.
Remember when Minnesota was tilting a little toward Republican leadership. Then the Somali refugee crisis hit and they were planted in Minneapolis and surrounding communities. Funny how that state veered right back to Solid-D territory with all the attendant government competency issues.

It is not that States must invite them in, but rather that they have a right to protest accepting them.
HHS makes some of the distribution decisions, and some decisions are farmed out to the non-Governmental organizations (such as leftist front groups) that get paid by the Government to provide support to immigrants.
I’d bet that the folks in Erie are pleased to no end about it.
Ridge was a huge disappointment as governor. Promised to get a handle on the state teachers unions and their extortionate contract demands. Got rolled in his first negotiation with them. Then sleepwalked thru the rest of his tenure buoyed by the occasional rumor that his friendship with GWB might result in being on the ticket. It’s doubtful that he could have ‘delivered’ Pennsylvania and that is why he wasn’t picked.
Typical Pennsylvania Republican politician. Ultimately he wanted to be popular more than successful. He got neither.
You know I’m at the point that I don’t give a chit anymore. We had all three branches at one point and our own party stabbed us in the back. It made it impossible for Trump to implement the wishes of the Republican base to eliminate all these loopholes build a wall etc. and what did they do they squandered it. I am so finished. That’s it I’m done. Pandora’s box has Been opened and there is no way in hell this country can get back on the right track again. Too many damn illegal foreigners have invaded this nation and there is no way of cleaning them out. Everything we held dear to our hearts that made this nation free and strong are gone. You see the rats the evil rats know how to play the game while our team hides cowering under the bed. They will rule this nation until they dig its grave. Obtw, Don’t be fooled they will pack the Supreme Court. Everything that comes out of their mouth they have been able to accomplish. That is the “live” trafficking by the government; what you are not hearing about is the trafficking in death that the “government” is involved in: the traffic in aborted babies.
If we had investigative reporters that were worth a good curse, this would be shouted from the housetops.
Unless the ‘child’ is older than 18, settling in swing districts, wouldn’t matter for now. We could fix the kids by having a Spanish speaking Conservative talk about America and what our values are about.
