A police officer has been suspended after arresting a 73-year-old woman with dementia, pushing her to the ground and leaving her with a fractured arm, after she forgot to pay for items at Walmart.
Karen Garner was arrested by Loveland Police on June 26, 2020 after Walmart employees noted that she left the store with a candy bar, a can of Pepsi and a t-shirt totaling $13.38.

And they and said no injuries when they locked her up. An 80 lb. 73 yr old woman.
All I wanted was a Pepsi.....
Sue Wal-Mart too. She offered to pay. Staff wouldn’t let her but they took the soda, candy bar and t shirt back.
I hate Wal-Mart. I never shop there.
That really is pretty horrible.
Ever watch those videos of guys who go around videoing cops and people exercising their first amendment rights? Face it...some cops are jerks.
SGV first has a good channel. There are lots of them. It’s a new kinda thing to try and expose bad cops who are overly aggressive. Here’s an example. And keep in mind, it’s not a crime to video anything in public that your eyes can see. They are just trying to show who the aggressive cops are that might hurt you or me someday when cameras aren’t around:

I had an 85 year old friend who went grocery shopping, and forgot his wallet in his car. He had been going to this store for decades.
He went out to his car...with his carriage. Picked up his wallet and went back into the store—where store security met him.
They called the cops and he was arrested.
The guys was clearly confused, clearly willing and able to pay, and was coming BACK into the store.
It took months for the case to be dismissed.
Was it ok for the security to follow him to his car? Was it OK for them to ask what the hell he was doing? Absolutely.
But arresting him?
The age of “chain” stores has eliminated the “know your customer” aspect of stuff. And service is an afterthought, because service training takes brains. And front line employees aren’t paid for their brains.
I’m pro good cop. Anti bad cop. And where I live, the cops are great. They are all good. At least from my limited interaction. I respect and admire Cops. But there are some real bad cops too. Some like these guys in Colorado......outright monsters to do that to a old lady with dementia. Unreal.

100% agree with your post. I have high respect for police as a profession but utter contempt for bad cops. These were morons.
The Wal-Mart employees overreacted too. Tough guys. Would they have done the same if the person walking out was a young black guy? Doubt it.
Or if the guy was size of George Floyd.

Was Karen argumentative and aggressive herself in the first place?
Clearly Karen cannot be trust to venture out on her own anymore.

Have you ever noticed…most of the “bad” cops or “jerk” cops are in overly blue cities or states? Where police department leaders are progressives and funding is lower? This is what will happen more and more as the left achieves their agenda. Then one day, if the police are fully controlled by the left, and the victims are white or conservative, then police killings will be excused. Kind of like the poor girl killed by Nancy’s police force.

Those folks usually call themselves “First Amendment Auditors”. And many of them do really good work. Someone should be watching the watchers!
But some of them are just out there to provoke a response. They’ll stick a camera in a county clerk’s face, then taunt her when she gets upset.
For me anyway, the litmus test is who they are filming. Cops sometimes go over the line. So they need to be watched. But the auditors who go around bothering clerks, mailmen, etc. are trash. Just my opinion.
I Support cops too. 4 in our family, one of whom is retired. But cops are making crazy errors. Shooting women in pjs. Pulling a gun rather than a taser. Probably holding Floyd longer than necessary. Now this brutal attack in CO. The callousness of the lady cop and the supervisory cop thinks its fine.
I guess that motto: “To Protect And To Serve” is totally meaningless these days.
Well, the video was pretty clear that this was a confused, old lady who seemed to have no idea what was going on. The arrest must have been doubly terrifying for her.
Where is her family??
With full force. They will pause in their jackboot licking long enough to get after you. I don’t know how they missed this one but they will find it and be here. They get off on the police abuse and killing innocent people. No telling how many blisters were worn on The raid where the Huston Police killed the husband and wife without warning. In fact, the Police even shot each other.
