Former President Trump endorsed Wyoming GOP chairman Frank Eathorne's bid for reelection in a statement Thursday, pointing to Eathorne's role in censuring Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.).
Why it matters: Cheney, the 3rd ranking Republican in the House, has been a fierce critic of Trump and was one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach Trump for "incitement of insurrection" following the events of Jan. 6. Trump has said he wants to "get rid" of Republicans who backed impeachment.
What they're saying: "Perhaps, most importantly, Frank has Censured the incompetent Liz Cheney, who couldn’t care less about our brave soldiers overseas, and who is willing to fight ridiculous, endless wars instead of preparing for the Big Time enemies that may someday soon face our Country."

We have family in Wyo. Lots of good people up there. Unfortunately, Lizzie places loyalty to her father ahead of loyalty to her constituents and party. I don’t think folks up there are going to forget.
This is another poorly written Yahoo article. Trump endorsed Wyoming GOP chairman Frank Eathorne’s bid for reelection to Wyoming GOP chairman, not as an opponent to Liz Cheney. Many here are sounding like he has endorsed him as Cheney’s opponent for her House seat.
Liz Cheney needs to be the #1 top priority for defeat in a primary. Not just because of what she has done, but what it means symbolically.
