The Department of Justice (DOJ) will not pursue charges against the U.S. Capitol Police officer who allegedly shot and killed Ashli Babbitt during the Jan. 6 riot in Washington, D.C., officials announced Wednesday.
An investigation conducted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia determined "that there is insufficient evidence to support a criminal prosecution," the department said in a statement.

Curious how they announce this while riots over another cop shooting is going on. I’m sure the people currently having their property destroyed really appreciate it. Same with absolute a-hole Police commissioner of NYC Dermot Shea taking sides against the cop who mistook her gun for her taser. Good timing jerk.

The name of the black cop who shot her was released earlier. Then the story disappeared. My guess is there is a big cash settlement in store for the family along with an agreement to keep quiet.
