A police officer in Austria has been sentenced to a conditional prison sentence of 10 months after he shared a photo of a dish supposedly favored by Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
The man, who has not been named in media reports, is a police officer in the Austrian state of Burgenland. He was found guilty of violating the Verbotsgesetz 1947 - otherwise known as Prohibition Act 1947, which aims to suppress a revival of Nazism in the country.
It is alleged that the officer shared a photo of Hitler's favorite meal on April 20, the dictator's birthday, last year. Hitler was originally from Austria and later migrated to Germany.
"Lunch today! Egg dumplings with green salad!" the man wrote on Facebook along with a photo of the dish, according to ORF, a public service broadcaster in the country.
The dish is called "Eiernockerl mit grünem Salat" in German and is often referred to as Gnocchi in English. It is widely understood that Hitler was a vegetarian by the time he came to power in Germany.

Good point. When an anti-smoking commercial is aired one can complain the commercial was advising people to act like Hitler.
I think Governor Gretchen Whitmer has egg dumplings and green salad every day for lunch, along with any small children she can catch.

Guilt is powerful. It invades the mind and makes it INSANE. Punishing this cop for this is as insane as denying jobs to Whites today because of slavery.
Should William Shirer’s opus The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich be banned? He writes at length about Hitler’s diet, though I don’t recall egg dumplings mentioned. Hitler pretty much ate the same food every day. Toast for breakfast, a very specific amount of toast, and Spaghetti for dinner. But the point is, simply stating history is ruining lives.
