Herschel Walker considering US Senate bid in Georgia

Herschel Walker is considering rushing to the end zone in Washington, D.C., potentially challenging Sen. Raphael Warnock's reelection bid.

The former football star, who has the backing of former President Donald Trump if he decides to enter the race, said he and his family are prayerfully considering whether he should challenge Warnock in Georgia's upcoming Senate race.

"I'm very honored that they would consider me running for the Senate, and my family, we're still going through this process of praying and really considering it ... and people want me to decide right now, and I said, 'Guys, I'm going to take my time because this is a very serious, serious thing,'" he told Fox Business's Maria Bartiromo on Sunday morning. "But I will tell you this: Herschel Walker believes in God, I believe in this country, I believe in the people, and I'm going to fight for the people of Georgia if I run, so just stay tuned. ... It's going to be exciting."

When asked what his policy platform would be, Walker said he hopes to reunite people amid a fractious political climate.

"My priority most of all would be America. ... I want to bring people back together," he said.

The U.S. Senate is about the last place to accomplish that then.

Not to his face, but I expect that many liberals will attack him from the privacy of their mothers' basements.

Herschel could very easily take down Warnock, IMO. HW might not win the GA black vote, but he’d peel off a decent chunk.

The Dems are now the party of Wall Street, and the elites. When the elections come around, they pretend to care about minorities and urban America. The reality is that they don't. They only care about buying off their political leaders. The last election shows that these people can only win by cheating shamelessly. So now in GA we could have two African-Americans on the GOP ticket for U.S. Senator (Walker) and Governor, (Vernon Jones). Once the Dems lose significant chunks of the votes of people of color, their governing coalition gets exposed for what it is, the elites, and their cheating will have to increase, and become even more obvious than it was in 2020.

Herschel has shown courage in overcoming these difficulties and giving public talks to encourage others in similar situations, especially other men. He may not want all of that dredged up and put on public exhibit by his opponents. We will see. If he can respond to the dredgings without letting them distract from his political mission, it could wor

I think Herschel is great. That being said the campaign would be brutal. I do not know if he wants to put his family through all that. The MSM would rehash everything that has ever happened to him non stop, after all he is a Republican.

If he doesn't run, he'll regret it the rest of his life.

If he runs and wins, he'll regret it the rest of his life.

The difference is, he'll regret it longer if he doesn't win.

I just hope he is properly prepared for the hate and vitriol that the media and Dems will through at him for running as a Republican. Maybe have a candid and private chat with Justice Thomas.
