Not a week goes by without someone asking if I’ve gotten my “Get Out of Jail Free” card — the vaccine — but until recently, I’ve told almost no one that I got the shots last month. How could it be that now, with my escape route in sight, I shrink from the exit

I was stopped outside a convenience store by a group of teen drug use mitigation people with a promotional table, asking for financial support. Man and a woman, both masked - outside. I told them I don’t trust people who mask up outside. That’s more like an Al Qaida type.

It will become more invasive: yearly “vaccine” boosters to account for the latest “variant”, vaccine passports, heck, DARPA is working on an implantable chip that will continuously monitor for “covid”. Until the people insist the government shove their covid nonsense up their collective asses it will only get worse. It is up to the states to overpower the feds.

Insanity. We have been living our lives as normally as possible, politely complying with masks requirements in stores, but never outside. Our primary focus is to not get businesses fined for non compliance, they have suffered enough.

Otherwise we are out and partying every single weekend since most places in our area reopened at the end of summer last year.

Your immune system needs to be exercised, too. Use it or lose it. Vaccines can help but they can never take the place of day to day exposure to the mundane things one is exposed to.

Heaven help the folks who diminish their immunity to more common threats. Where is the “science” on that?

Me too. My job has changed a lot as it was public facing, but that’s starting to come back too.

I’ve been to 22 states, most multiple times in the last year. Flown once, several hotels, countless restaurants, many handshakes. Got a hug from an older lady at church yesterday. In other words, normal life.

Yes they do exist. They only exist as the rest of us pay for their anxieties. Why go to work when you got the nitwit government sending you thousands to stay home? Work from home, I get it as it saves on commute and most people actually are more productive on their own projects. Unfortunately, that is not the whole answer or there would be no reason to go to work in the first place. It only works for those who work in an office. Don't see how one works from home on a tractor, or police car, or hospital ER or in retail sales. Between the phony presidential election and this pandemic crap, our country is really peeing me off.
