Are You Ready For Biden’s Ban On Gas-Powered Cars?
Issues & Insights ^ | 12 Apr 2021 | Editorial Board

Posted on 04/12/2021 4:58:22 AM PDT by Rummyfan

In the next couple of months, the Environmental Protection Agency will issue new fuel economy standards that could be impossible for carmakers to meet – without going electric. That, at least, is what President Joe Biden’s EPA Administrator Michael Regan is indicating.

In an interview with Bloomberg last week, Regan talked about imposing rules that meet “the urgency of the climate crisis,” and “did not rule out future emissions requirements that create a de facto ban on new conventional, gasoline-powered automobiles, like an explicit phase-out ordered by California Gov. Gavin Newsom.”

Regan could, for example, require automakers to sell cars that get an average of 70 mpg – something that only electric cars could meet. The most fuel-efficient hybrid on the market tops out at 59 mpg. The most efficient gas-powered car – the tiny Mitsubishi Mirage – gets 39 mpg.

The prospect of a Biden ban on gas-powered vehicles shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. As we noted last year, Biden promised voters he would do just this – impose regulations on automakers that they could only meet by selling electric cars.

As a matter of fact, he promised that on his first day in office, he’d develop “rigorous new fuel economy standards aimed at ensuring 100% of new sales for light- and medium-duty vehicles will be zero emissions.”

The late great conservative icon M. Stanton Evans put it best: “Liberals don’t care what you do,” he quipped, “as long as it’s compulsory.”

I highly encourage pResident Xiden and the DemoKKKrat party to pass 70mpg requirements. Just do it. Via EO or legislation. Go ahead.

They'll doom the DemoKKKrat Party to irrelevant status in 2022 and 2024. This is exactly the kind of radicalism the overwhelming majority of Americans will reject.

Biden will ban gas-powered guns and also ban cars that take high-capacity magazines.

They should be sued through their noses.

By the manufacturers, then by the consumers.

Electric makes long-term driving about impossible. But maybe that is also the intention.

Stalin accurately said it only matters who counts the votes. The dems proved that is not only true they will do it again at every level of government from last Nov forward. If anyone thinks voting matters at this point they are naive or just cannot bring themselves to the truth of the matter. Eggs will have to be broken on the battlefield nothing short of that will change a thing.

US Auto Plants Face Shutdowns over Chip Shortage
https://www.autoweek.com/news/industry-news/a35960830/us-auto-plants-shutdown-chip-shortage/

The microchip shortage that has plagued automakers for the past several months will continue to hit home this week, but in a much more noticeable way, as several plants in North America will face temporary stoppages over the shortages.

This week several Stellantis (formerly known separately as FCA and PSA) plants in the US, Canada, and Mexico will be idled for a period that could last several weeks as a result of semiconductor chip shortages from suppliers. They will be the latest plants in North America affected by the shortage, with factories in Warren, Michigan; Brampton and Windsor, Ontario; Belvidere, Illinois, and Toluca, Mexico scheduled to stop production of several popular vehicles including the Ram 1500 pickup and the Jeep Cherokee. Some of these plants have already faced delays earlier this year, as Car and Driver noted in January. (excerpt)

Trump saw all this happening, trying to bring production home ...America First...now we see a stoppage of production on a massive scale. All part of the Great Reset. All part of the Build, Back, Better scenario.

You won’t be driving. You see ...the electric car is destined to replace drivers, it isn’t about you owning a car. Faster and sooner than you realize.

You may be right. I'll simply note my tagline below which I've had for over 20 years now.

They sheeple will never know about the EO ban on ICE cars. The MSM will not let them know. The sheeple will just think this is a natural progression of technology and not forced.

Leftists will manufacture the votes they need. They’ve perfected the methodology in the 2020 election. The will of the people is irrelevant.

“They should be sued through their noses.”

The problem is that too many lawyers are liberals. They are liberals in part because they are a protected group. Liberals protect lawyers. You will never hear liberals calling for ‘legal reform’, or complaining about how much money lawyers make. They have a symbiotic relationship (although that term may not exactly apply, as lawyers and Democrats are often the same ‘species’).

These politicians can show the way by being the first individuals who drive everywhere all the time in electric vehicles. That includes their personal vehicles. All their staff and security as well. No exceptions, no waivers. Until then, they’re hypocritical frauds waiting to be sued into poverty.

Good luck getting that through Congress!!! Oh? I forgot, we handed the Senate to the Democrats by listening to Lin Wood and sitting out the Georgia Runoffs to ‘teach the GOP a lesson’, and now those Republicans are paying the price.

Gotta go, it’s time to get upgraded electrical service at my house, and the electrician will be here in 15 minutes (but we sure taught those pesky RINOs a lesson, didn’t we!!!).

That's what you think. If 2020 taught us anything, it should have taught us they can overturn any election result they want with 3 am drops of mail-in ballots created expressly for that purpose.
