Virginia police pulled guns on a Black Army officer during a traffic stop and threatened to execute him in a parking lot, according to the serviceman's lawsuit and video of the encounter.
In before “aLl He hAd To dO wAs ObEy OrDeRs.”
When I lived in Houston, it was common knowledge when a Houston cop wanted to pull you over, you found a well-lighted and populated area to stop. Cops had a history of such actions, including shooting people who were unarmed,
Convenient timing given Maryland just overrode the gov’s veto of a Rat attack on LEOs.
Not going to the nbc link.
Did the cops use the exact words “we’re going to execute you”? Was he a case of mistaken identity? Had he been drinking? Did he refuse to obey a command?
“Stop or I’ll shoot!” = threatened execution.
I read the story at Epoch Times and it appears the Army LT. was driving without a rear license plate.
Conflicting orders of keep your hands up and remove your seat belt and exit the vehicle place the individual in a no win situation.
Both should be fired immediately.
Let the body and gun cams tell their stories.
He had in transit stickers. He just bought the vehicle. He was compliant with he law.
This driver was uncooperative and he physically resisted arrest. He deliberately caused a confrontation and then escalated it. It looks to me like he intended to provoke a reaction that he could then sue over and hopefully cash in, which is what he is now doing.
Based on the article and the video, if I were on the jury, I would not only be awarding substantial compensation, but I would be recommending the officers be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, battery and just about any other charges I could find.
Officers knew they were wrong and should be stripped of their qualified immunity.
The article said the plate was clearly visable and no charges were filed ... leads me to think that the “no license plate” was an excuse.
Took awhile for one of you ‘OBEY OR DIE’ types to come along.
The claim was that he had no license plate, but he had a temporary sticker in the rear windows showing that it was a new car and awaiting tags.
In what way was he uncooperative ?
Did you see the longer body cam video that showed the entire encounter or just the brief excerpt that is being distributed by Godless communists for the purposes of depriving all of us of our liberty?
This is B.S..I saw the video of the incident on Liveleak and there was No threat of executing the Lt. at all.
This incident occurred in Windsor,Virginia and the cops did a felony traffic stop at a gas station.
The officers involved were overbearing.Ordering the Driver in this case a U.S. Army Lt. out of his vehicle for some unknown reason. Which is why the Lt.refused to exit his vehicle.
The Lt.was not threatening in any manner and had his hands held high during the entire event. Up until the officers sprayed him with pepper spray and took him to the ground.
Did you see the video of the entire encounter?
The answer to all of your questions is no.
