And remember that the Constitution was adopted on the condition that the Bill of Rights be added.
And, a militia is staffed by free citizens.
Early after the revolution citizens were required to own and operate arms — so that if a call went out they could report to their militia. Those laws were softened and then let go.
However, the right to bear arms is not just to serve in a militia. It is to protect yourself — a natural born right of any citizen, any human for that matter.
To try and limit this in any way, ANY WAY, is an attempt to subjugate you. To remove from you a human right, and then justify your enslavement. That is why there is a BILLofRIGHTS. It is not a list of things given you by a gov’mt. It is a list of rights recognized as intrinsic to any citizen — and no gov’mt can infringe on them IN ANY WAY!
