The senior leaders of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) wanted to win over a few so-called allies to form an anti-American alliance but found themselves standing alone in the anti-American front. On the surface, Russia, North Korea, and Iran appear to be helping the CCP against the United States, but they are actually pushing the CCP to the forefront, each taking the opportunity to seek benefits for themselves.
On April 7, Xi Jinping had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the regime’s mouthpiece Xinhua News reported.
To the CCP, Germany is the weakest link in the Western camps. Top CCP leaders always used Germany as their last resort during internationally desperate conditions.
Xi once again pinned his hopes on Germany when the CCP was in a direct stalemate with the United States and Europe. The call to Germany’s leader shows that the CCP has fallen into international isolation.
Xinhua’s report mainly covered what Xi said in the phone call: “he hopes that Germany will remain open and create more convenience for the enterprises of both countries to expand mutually beneficial cooperation.” “China stands ready to work with the EU… and jointly practice multilateralism,” and “promote fair and reasonable vaccine distribution.”
Of course, Xi hopes that Germany and Europe will not join forces with the United States to fight against the CCP. At the same time, he continues to draw a big piece of the pie for German companies and tout cooperation on vaccines.
As for Merkel’s reaction? Xinhua reported, “Merkel said that the EU upholds independence in its foreign relations.” Such a statement at least shows that Germany will not stand on the side of the CCP. In fact, Japan and Germany are about to hold 2+2 ministerial talks on foreign affairs and national defense.

While I tend to agree,
Remember the Epoch times are Chinese dissents.
It is like I read Pravda and RT, and most USA media, but filter out the ideology.
Truth is a hard thing to find these days.
Xi is the worst thing that’s happened to China since Mao. Belt and Road is a disaster, they have 0 allies, and their economy is a disaster. Contrary to the sympathetic Western Media. Who are their only allies.
Three of those four are Democrat allies.
They have an ally in the White House.
It’s Falun Gong. They have an agenda but do some good reporting. You don’t have to make shit up to report on the evil CCP.
CCP does have one reliable anti American ally. The US Federal Government. At lest 70% of it.
They do not have zero allies.
They have Iran, but most of all they have the deep state, which includes the American deep state and the fake Biden administration at the moment.
MAGA patriots and much of the world stands against them, but the deep state is vast.
See the post above yours. Iran is not a good ally. Those nuts are just as likely to nuke China if they are having a bad turban day. Same with Pokkeystahn. Muzzies are so emotional.
Perhaps not, but they are an ally nonetheless.
Word around the campfire is there are 5k Chinese troops in Iran as we speak.
I tried reading this but much of it is a stretch. If you are the CCP you don’t need allies in the Western neoliberal sense. You need influence peddling, which is easier than ever with corrupt leftist Western institutions (especially corrupted Western economic policies and the globalist elite “class”) on the one hand and tinpot nuclear-capable or nuclear-ambitious non-liberal societies on the other.
Love the Epoch Times, but they’re stretching here.
Our “allies” are very deferential to their profits in China. As are US companies.
The main ally of Red China is the Washington DC establishment and America’s CEOs.
Good time to drop bombs on them!
Actually, four.
Russia and China began the so-called "peace mission" series of joint war games in 2005. They claim it's about combating terrorism, but only a fool would believe that, as the games are large scale and increasingly complex. Also in this alliance are Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, and a few other hostile hard left and islamo-nazi regimes.
Recall, Bill Clinton's treasonous ChinaGate scandal began in late 1996...
From the Sino-Russian Joint Statement of April 23, 1997:
"The two sides [China and Russia] shall, in the spirit of partnership, strive to promote the multipolarization of the world and the establishment of a new international order."

"Joint war games are a logical outcome of the Sino-Russian Friendship and Cooperation Treaty signed in 2001, and reflect the shared worldview and growing economic ties between the two Eastern Hemisphere giants."

In foreign policy it’s critical to “know thine enemy.” So American policymakers should be aware that Russia and China are inching closer to identifying a common enemy - the United States.
The two would-be superpowers held unprecedented joint military exercises Aug. 18-25. Soothingly named “Peace Mission 2005,” the drills took place on the Shandong peninsula on the Yellow Sea, and included nearly 10,000 troops. Russian long-range bombers, the army, navy, air force, marine, airborne and logistics units from both countries were also involved.
Moscow and Beijing claim the maneuvers were aimed at combating terrorism, extremism and separatism (the last a veiled reference to Taiwan), but it’s clear they were an attempt to counter-balance American military might. ..."
Reporting from Moscow —
Neither Russia nor China has one inch of coastline on the Mediterranean Sea, making it an unlikely and provocative venue for their first joint naval war games.
The 10 days of maneuvers that got underway Monday will include live-fire exercises in the strategic sea connecting Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The point is lost on no one: A powerful new alliance of eastern giants is flexing its muscles in the very backyard of Western Europe — much as China has done on its own in the Pacific.
The war games follow Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow, where he headlined Victory Day celebrations and spent three days making billion-dollar deals with Russian President Vladimir Putin. ...”

The drums are already rolling for the upcoming Russian “Vostok” (east) wargames commencing on September 11. With its focal point in the Trans-Baikal region of eastern Siberia adjoining Chinese Manchuria and Mongolia, this is a nationwide Russian military and societal event.
Touted by Russian minister of defense Sergei Shoigu as “unprecedented in scale, both in terms of area of operations and numbers of military command structure, troops, and forces involved,” Russian state press is declaring that up to three hundred thousand troops and one thousand aircraft will be involved, with the majority from the Eastern and Central Military Districts.
This would be even larger than the near-legendary Zapad-81 maneuvers held in the western USSR during the depths of the Cold War. ...”

Much of the developed world looks at China as a market and a place to get stuff manufactured. Beyond that, there is zero appetite to join a “Chinese bloc” of anything. The Chinese kinda/sorta have a foot-hold in Africa, which they are paying through the nose for.
They don’t even get along with their neighbors. Even the Vietnamese hate China — and the Chinese helped them win their war against America.
