If you are a student and plan on returning to Duke University next semester you will need to have proof that you got a COVID-19 vaccine.

The vaccine is how they planned to cull the masses. The Georgia Stones come to mind.
My oldest daughter is a recent Duke grad. She hated it, particularly the last two years. You wouldn’t believe some of the crazy antics she had to endure and she was in Pratt. I guess what goes on at Trinity can only be described as insane.
Our other daughter is at Notre Dame (like her mom & dad) and not having a great time either although it’s - surprisingly - not quite as crazy as Duke. I think this is just a horrible moment of time to go to college generally, but it seems to be worse at blue-chip schools. The Ivies? Just forget about it.
Maybe all things considered, some place like Hillsdale would be better presuming you’re not working towards a science or engineering degree.
Duke should be required to post a 100,000,000.00 bond if it is going to require students to take an experimental vaccine.
They are all going to do this.
The cost of these outbreaks - the isolation, the quarantine, the remote learning - is in the long run unsupportable.
By September, life is going to be very difficult for people who are not vaccinated.

The kid who is selling fake IDs....probably has already cornered this market, with fake vaccination slips....maybe even signed by some doctor from Honduras.

The difference is the current shot is experimental. It violates the Nuremberg Code to require it.
Clearly, many of them will. But, I was surprised to see several big schools in Ohio will not. Down here in Florida, Gov DeSantis has already prohibited state schools from requiring the vaccine. I’m not sure if that extends to private schools but I do know Miami (private) hasn’t yet announced any requirement.
Like so many things today, you could see a bifurcation between schools in blue states and red states.
No private business can legally REQUIRE their patrons to accept an experimental vaccine in order to access their premises or services.

Same here. Many of the well established vaccines have been studied for decades and almost every possible issue is documented.
Now all of a sudden the left has gone from we mist use caution in dining out, etc. as we know so little about Bat Flu to Quick, everyone take the vaccine we know lintel about compared to others, don’t question it, just do it.

Good point. My alma matter made students get tested weekly or bi-weekly but had no testing or quarantine requirements for faculty and staff. If a student was around a positive case, get a test a mandatory quarantine, staff/faculty as long as you est negative, you fine came back to work.
I suspect the vax will be the same.
Not just stupid, but bad public health policy.
Those shots would do far more good in the arms of the frail and elderly now.
They typed in my info to the computer each time I got a shot along with writing it on my card. I have no idea if anyone outside the medical establishment can get the database info because of HIPAA rules. But without the crosschecking it would be pretty easy to just print a cardstock copy of the blank form and have a couple friends fill it out by hand (to avoid having the same handwriting on every line).
Now, will Duke require a matching photo ID - or is that too racist?
