Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) and state health officials asked residents on Friday to avoid indoor dining and gave additional recommendations.
In order to slow the spread of the coronavirus, Whitmer is urging high schools to move to remote learning, asking diners to use outdoor dining or takeout, and recommending youth sports pause in-person activities for two weeks, WLUC reported.

Hasn’t she been saying “just 2 weeks” since April 2020?
Two weeks? Like how we were told last year that we need to suspend normal life for “two weeks to flatten the curve”, so that hospitals wouldn’t be overwhelmed?
Tell us Gretchen, what happens after two weeks? Will it then evolve into two more weeks, then a month, then an indefinite suspension of normal life? Where are you going with this?
How would any of us have accepted the “two weeks to flatten the curve” last year, if we knew it would become a year plus with no end in sight, depending what state you live in?
I plan to avoid Michigan for 2 decades.
Why is she “asking”? Doesn’t she have authoritarian control?
Two weeks to flatten the curve! Why didn’t we think of that before?
She doesn’t have the authority......it was removed from her......now she uses the State’s Health Dept. and her appointee to close down places.
But, with the recent surge in cases and people needing medical treatment perhaps they realize the strict long lock downs put us in Michigan behind everyone else with achieving herd immunity.
Our economy is a wreck, the surge is hitting areas not affect much before, like Northern Michigan.
2 years before elections again and Whitmer needs to make progress.

What’s humorously sad but funny; here in WA restaurants were told to put up tents outside their place and serve food there. The tents are fully enclosed with one entry/exit door. What difference does it make if you’re sitting inside the place that’s closed and sitting in a tent that’s outside and closed? Democrat liberal logic?
Those tents are all over CA. completely closed in tent one door INSANITY!!
Two more weeks to flatten the economy.. and her political future.

Liberal logic; the virus is kept outside in those tents; then too, one wonders what the virus thinks when people sit down and disappear from the virus seeing them? I mean, you have to wear a mask when you enter but when you sit down to eat you can take it off. I guess sitting down makes you invisible to the virus. Instead of wearing a mask, just carry a folding seat around with you and sit down from time to time; the virus will never see you.
Whitmer will be gone much sooner than that. Michigan is beautiful. Lake Huron on the east side, Lake Michigan on the west side and Lake Superior and waterfalls up north. State motto is, “If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look around you”.

And then you can do whatever you want, YAY!

Two weeks? Not 15 days to “flatten the curve” and/or “slow the spread”? I love how “they” pull arbitrary numbers out of their asses. I figure she’s being well compensated by Fauci to resurrect the fear porn.
