Loved Wanda Vision, and I’m really enjoying Falcon and Winter Soldier, I tune out the woke messages, they just don’t apply to me and I don’t care, I just love the comic book entertainment. If they go woke, go broke, that’s fine too, it’s just tv and if it’s gone I can live with that too.
At that point I knew it was going to be a ‘Fairy Tale’ and it was.
Now, if it had omitted those few words, it would have been okay as it had no time reference............................
I think your right. Too many choices out there.
I was a science fiction buff, but I always saw science fiction as “fairy tale”. I just saw that sentence as saying it was a different time and place. And I was able to suspend disbelief as fighters “flew” around in space like WWII fighters. :)

I even watch his reviews of movies I’ve already seen, and movies I would never watch.
A lot of times, his videos are more entertaining than the films he reviews by orders of magnitude.

I have the same attitude regarding Hitler speeches.
What people don't realize is that his speeches were about 95% trivia about building autobahns, wonder weapons, rebuilding Germany, the greatness of the Aryan race, and what have you.
The real anti-Semitic vitriol accounts for, at most, 5% of the content.
So I can just sit back and enjoy most of his speeches, and simply "tune out" the horrific passages. Just love to "zone out" while listening to his voice.

By continue to watch it you’re voting for them to produce more of this type of product, you might be immune to it, but others are not, and the more shows of this type is produced the more people are indoctrinated to its worldview, and ultimately people indoctrinated this way are going to cause you problems.
If it’s just a tv show, why can’t you turn it off?
I dumped TV in 1997 and have never had cable. However, about 2 years ago I discovered I could watch Amazon Prime and youtube on my smart TV. Rainy days became streaming days. And then we got on our kids Netfix and Hulu family plans.
Well, after a couple of years of that I then visited my wife’s sister’s place where they have cable, but no streaming. I felt like I had entered the dark ages.
The key problem: You can only watch “what’s on” and there are only a few choices from each genre. On amazon, et al, I have literally thousands of choices that I can start at any time I want. I simply search and watch.
Cable is quite literally “soooooo 20th century”.
haha yeah they wouldn’t need this bean counting tech if they were just normal folks running the show. Its like how much junk we can we get away with showing before being turned off. Before this producers & writers had to know what average everyday Americans wanted by generally being one of them i.e. 60’s-90’s tv shows, music & movies. How would Seinfeld or Mash turned out if every second of the show were scrutinized also? It’s all junk now

Lol me too. Saw it at the drive in. (Back then we didn’t have cable TV with a zillion Channels to watch at home). I haven’t watched a star wars movie since, not even the shows. (Though did watch a lot of star trek shows, mainly because, again, viewing choices were pretty limited on tv with our 3-4 ‘good’ channels to watch, channels that we were able to view by delicately adjusting the roof antenna just right lol)
I agree. I got rid of cable over three years ago and use streaming for the reasons you mention. In addition you get a lot of good channels Over The Air with an antenna. Cable is worthless.
The only channel I wish was streaming is TCM classic movies, I would pay for that if available.

Exactly. They, Hollywood, Disney, PBS etcetcetc all have their marching orders... “Indoctrinate the children no matter what it cost you!”.
Other venues like Nascar, sports, ESPN, cooking shows, etcetcetc, AR e all about gaslighting the public, briw beating them into submission these days. The agenda has become more important than the bottom line financially apparently. It’s pretty obvious. Their business decisions to support an agenda just make no business sense at all. They would rather all be preachers of socialism than profitable ventures,obviously.
Sure, they would love to have it both ways, preach socialism, and be profitable, but they can’t have it both ways, and evidently have chosen indoctrination over profits.
Either that or it isn’t hurting them financially right now, so they preach the leftist agenda now before everyone gets wise to their nonsense and begins leaving in large enough droves to hurt them financially, orthey are in denial about how much they actually are losing, and perhaps think they can make it up with enough up and coming ‘new customers who are woke’.
Not sure their reasoning. I think the woke sports are blaming the losses on the covid lockdowns, but they began losing even before the lockdowns. I think they tried blaming something g else at the time

Subscribe to Viki.com. Fifty bucks a year. Watch all the Asian dramas you want. It’s not just romantic K-Dramas. There are police series, doctor series, adventure series, etc. You’ll be blown away how much better they are than American TV. And most are G-rated by American standards. And let it be said, there is no stupid political correctness and Wokeness.
There was an even larger service available to Americans, DramaFever. TimeWarner bought it from its Japanese owner SoftBank and then shut it down. Competition. Too many Americans turning off American entertainment and watching Asian. Fortunately they haven’t gotten control of Viki yet.
Marvel Comics had an issue or storyline where Captain America was critical of and disgusted by TEA Party protesters.
Cable: So many channels, so little worth watching.
