Take note, says a former top White House official: The odds are in favor of former President Donald Trump running for office again.
Mark Meadows, who was Trump's chief of staff at the end of his administration, offered some insight into what to expect of his former boss as attention gets turned to 2024 and a potential rematch against President Joe Biden.
"I'm feeling great about President Trump's willingness to serve once again in the Oval Office," Meadows said this week on the radio show hosted by Sebastian Gorka, another alumnus of the Trump White House.
Meadows didn't get into specifics, but he did say Trump is "making all the preparations necessary" for another run, and he's "being encouraged by his friends and former staffers."
"Ultimately, what I think you will see is a vision for America that didn't stop on Nov. 3, didn't stop on Jan. 20, and we need to reengage," Meadows said, referring to the dates of the 2020 election and Inauguration Day. "So he's getting major encouragement, and I would say this: I would put the odds at better than 50-50 that he runs again, and everybody should take note of that."
Meadows is a former U.S. congressman from North Carolina who left his seat to become White House chief of staff in March 2020 and stayed on until Trump left office. Meadows later joined the Conservative Partnership Institute as a senior partner, which he called a "networking hub for conservative causes."
Three months after leaving the White House, Trump has remained busy, issuing statements in response to current events as well as endorsements.
Trump, who is now living at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, was removed from a slew of social media in January after the U.S. Capitol riot. But he is expected to return to social media in the next few months with "his own platform," Jason Miller, an adviser to Trump, recently said on Fox News.
In an interview on Tuesday, Trump told Newsmax that his banishment from social media platforms Facebook and Twitter "haven't silenced me."
Trump also got a new website at the end of last month and has been vocal about the controversy surrounding Georgia's new voting law. Trump called the reform package signed by Gov. Brian Kemp too "weak" and quipped that he hopes "the RINOs are happy." He is also facing multiple investigations in New York and Georgia.
After losing his bid for reelection to Biden and insisting the contest was rigged (despite election officials defending the integrity of the election and the courts rejecting a slew of election fraud lawsuits), Trump said, "We'll see" about a 2024 run, telling Fox News that he first wants to see how the 2022 midterm elections play out
He’s obviously the presumptive nominee for 2024 if he decides to run. But he’s got to use the next couple years spearheading election integrity efforts. Otherwise there’s no chance to defeat Czarina Kamala.
What for....the last election was fraudulent and nothing will change...banana republic or like Saddam’s Iraq or North Korea...
Mark Meadows: ‘Better than 50-50’ chance Trump runs again

Dominion via N. Pelousi: Better than 90-10 chance the Democrat wins again.
They always have to do the caveat disclaiming election fraud....(per last sentence)
So aggravating!
Trump won’t take the threat away until DeSantis is ready - that would be silly.
"OZ The UniParty has spoken."
Somebody send him to finishing school. I am an early supporter. I swear that many, many, people voted against him because of his crudeness. He just wasn’t cool.
Trump is far more powerful if he does not run,but gives his support to real Republicans instead.
He’s endorsing Bush League Republicans, like Micro Rubio.
Does he know what real Republicans look like?
Any Rino, er.... I mean controlled opposition ‘Rat that speaks of Trump running *specifically* in 2024 is committing Treason. They would be endorsing The Steal.
Trump won on 11/3/21, and is the rightful POTUS. The Steal must be reversed, and the electoral system repaired prior to 2024, and prior to 2022 for that matter, for the Organic Constitutional Republic to continue...
Agree with you and 2024 is a long way off.
The Republic under our Constitution was over the day ALL of our elected AND appointed swore in the ineligible Kenyan from Indonesia in direct violation of that Constitution.
Trump is endorsing Rubio? WTF??? If true, it just confirms the fact that when it comes to choosing personnel, PDJT is challenged.
Even if he won, he’ll still have all those betrayers pulling their non-stop tricks again - Collins, Murk & Mittney, the State Dept., the Military, the FBI ...
UNLESS he fires a whole lot of people on Day 1, before they get the chance to plunge a knife in his back!!
> I swear that many, many, people voted against him because of his crudeness. <
Trump lost mainly because of voter fraud, as I think you will agree. But yes, you make a good point here. Trump needed a savvy chief of staff, someone who would filter his remarks a bit. Trump never found such a person, or did not listen to him if he did.
As it was, Trump gave his enemies too many openings.
It’s a really pity all the way around. Donald Trump was probably the last hope for the Republic.
I have to agree somewhat. His lack of humility and civility hurt him a lot. His sycophants will cry election fraud but he could have overcome that if he'd had a good, adult, rather than adolescent, "presence".
He already paid his dues for America, and I wouldn’t blame him for not running, but I hope he does.
This is very, very good news. President Trump 2024!
Today, the Organic Constitution is in full force, dealing with an insurrection. The Kenyan, HRC, Biden part of it.
