Another Trump Faux Pas
It wouldn’t be difficult to find someone better than Rubio. Rubio sat on his hands the entire time Trump was being robbed and yet Trump endorses him. Disappointing to say the least.
Give us a team of 80% conservative candidates - instead of the 50.01% types we have now who are waiting for the latest poll before switching to 49.99% - and we will be in much better shape.

He did in 2013 when he lead the Gang of Amnesty, he will when he votes for amnesty again, although it won’t be his FOURTH amnesty vote like Flimsey Grahamnesty.
Ugh! Sorry to say he did a lot of this while President. How are they ever going to drain the swamp when he keeps endorsing the swamp? I thought he was going to recruit candidates who thought like him, or at least were allied with him.

Realpolitik
I repeat for the 100th time here that by 2022 Trump will have expelled a relatively few RINOs (e.g., Romney, Liz Cheney) and coopted everyone else. He aims to win, and a larger pool of staunch backers beats a smaller pool.
Also, do not assume that his chosen strategy 2015-2020 Q4 is his best strategy going forward. I expect him to communicate less often but with broader and less pugilistic messaging, to focus on building his super high potential platform and for a time to aggressively consolidate rather than spend down his political capital. The left is stuck pursuing much egregiously bad policy while Xi, Putin, every constituency in Central America, etc is testing the left’s reckless behaviors. He is letting them dig themselves in ever deeper.
And what goes for Rubio also goes go Pence, who is reviled here but will soon be fully rehabilitated.

That's going to mean supporting some within the GOP who are less than ideal. Doesn't mean he'll back everyone who has an (R) behind their name. He opposes/primaries the worst of them. But he wants those 51 Senate votes to win at least some fights.

Go back and look at his track record. The trend is unmistakable. He will endorse a RINO who can win over a MAGA loser ... every time.
I think Gaetz was supposed to be the go to Rubio replacement but his status is up in the air right now.
