United Airlines Announces They Will No Longer Hire the Best Pilots
PJ Media ^ | 7 Apr 2021 | Megan Fox

United Airlines is taking a bizarre business risk and announcing to the world that it will no longer hire the best pilots available but will instead make sure that 50% of their trainees for flying you around the world will be women and minorities—talent and skill be damned. I’m not making this up. I wish I were.

Our flight deck should reflect the diverse group of people on board our planes every day. That’s why we plan for 50% of the 5,000 pilots we train in the next decade to be women or people of color. Learn more and apply now.....

Their website details this diversity commitment with more wokespeak than I can usually tolerate in one paragraph:

Today, United has one of the most diverse pilot populations of any U.S. carrier with nearly 20% of our pilot group made up of women and people of color. We are working toward raising that number even higher by partnering with diversity-led organizations and continuing to remove gender and racial barriers. And we’re going one step further with plans for 50% of United Aviate Academy students being women and people of color to ensure our students reflect the diversity of the customers and communities we serve

They can change their name to: Foam The Runway Airlines (from the "Airport" crash scene movies of the 70's).

And why does the MSM automatically "report" any lack of a members of any race, working in some profession, as racism, when a basic understanding of math is the likely explaination?

Example: Black people make up approximately 14% of the total US population. Doesn't anyone think this might be the reason they make up a small percent of airline pilots? Because they ARE a smaller percent of total US population, in the first place, therefore less people to apply for this job?

🤔

Biden and Harris becoming pilots?.
With any luck the media will be the first passengers.

Watch the Movie Red Tails. Every one of those Tuskegee Airmen were wannabe Chuck Yeager’s, every one. Those Mustangs they were flying could turn on a dime like vectored thrust F-22.

This is literally a suicidal business decision.

They have a single job - get aircraft from point a to point b without injuring anyone. Every other measurable objective is on page 2.

What’s next? “We are going to ensure that our mechanics reflect a diverse work environment.”

Better not be applying this to doctors. We certainly do this with teaching, and the education system from top to bottom has never been less effective.

If a less than competent black person wants to advance by affirmative action, there are many professions that are easier to fake (and less risky if you fail) than being a pilot.

I have seen black and female managers over-promoted and causing devastation as a result, but it was just financial disasters, not life and death ones.

Medical schools are currently playing the “woke” game as well, and the quality of doctors is deteriorating with each new generation.

The good news is that computers are taking over many basic medical tasks—and will be taking over more in the coming years.

Wasn't it a United DC-10 out of O'Hare that crashed upon takeoff... when an engine fell from the wing, due to slipshod maintenance procedures? I have it on hearsay from another former United employee that one of the mechanics responsible for that later committed suicide.

“It’s the toddler stage of Idiocracy. Happening in real time.”

I’ve never been more pessimistic about this nations future, nor as disgusted by the public’s lack of character and intellect.

And yes, Idiocracy seems to be prophetic.

That was American Airlines. And it was an entire practice that was on there to cheapen out on moving engines around. Never heard about any suicides, but might’ve happened.

American DC-10 NOT United...
Although a United employee could have told you, the TV and newspaper coverage was intense. Improper procedure when changing the engine cause the engine to become detached from the wing mount right after takeoff.

It has always been about skin — they like to call it diversity.
Wait till the SHTF and and all these groups clique together around their AR-15s. Each one for himself and to hell with America. Diversity be damned.

Isn’t it much easier to fly a commercial jet nowadays than it was 50-60 years ago?

Recently some baggage handler who never flew a plane, out of I believe SEATAC, jumped into a twin engine turbo prop?, Horizon Air?, and took off and was doing aerial stunts until he deiced to commit suicide and nose dived into an island in Puget Sound.

Screw HAL when pc over qualified is the criteria then I won’t fly. I don’t care who the pilot is as.long as he knows what he is doing and highly qualified. But no more HAL flights for me.

Yes, that is the very premise of Ayn Rand’s ATLAS SHRUGGED 70 years ago! Everyone should read it...again.

Haven’t flown since 1996 and articles like this make me glad of it. What’s happened to merit?
