BREAKING: White House Releases Initial Gun Control Executive Actions
Townhall.com ^ | 7 April A.D. 2021 | Katie Pavlich

The Biden White House has released a preview of President Joe Biden's executive actions on gun control, which he plans to sign Thursday afternoon. The administration is also arguing additional gun control is needed to fight a "public health" crisis and pushing hard for "red flag laws," which often violate civil liberties.

"Today, the Biden-Harris Administration is announcing six initial actions to address the gun violence public health epidemic," the White House released late Wednesday. "This Administration will not wait for Congress to act to take its own steps."

Here are the six actions, from the White House "fact sheet."

The Justice Department, within 30 days, will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of “ghost guns.”

The Justice Department, within 60 days, will issue a proposed rule to make clear when a device marketed as a stabilizing brace effectively turns a pistol into a short-barreled rifle subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act.

The Justice Department, within 60 days, will publish model “red flag” legislation for states.

The Administration is investing in evidence-based community violence interventions.

The Justice Department will issue an annual report on firearms trafficking.

The President will nominate David Chipman to serve as Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

Biden's choice for ATF Director, David Chipman, is a longtime gun control activist who has done extensive lobbying for anti-Second Amendment groups funded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the Giffords Law Center. He was also involved in the Branch Davidian trial after the government -- specifically ATF and FBI -- botched a raid in Waco, Texas. Bad decisions made by federal agents ultimately resulted in the deaths of 76 people, including pregnant women and dozens of children.

Trying to outlaw non-criminals making firearms (or anything we are entitled to under natural law) at home is a big deal.

Good Question. I have often talked about this. Having(keeping) a firearm is one thing. But if one doesn’t know who, where, when, what , and most important - WHY they are shooting anything it the 1st place, that gun is a useless piece of metal at best, and dangerous in the possession of the owner at worst (e.g. mass shootings).

Among the reasons you may not know what I call the 5W’s, is because unlike the other side, we have not done the ground work of gathering the intel needed, and the needed comms network was compromised just as it was getting off the ground. If that all sounds like 1st Amendment stuff, you’re right. That’s why I have always believed the 1st was and is more important that the 2nd.

To often, I see comments on FR with folks complaining about the double standard of how rioters are treated. Ask yourself this question: How would the black-dressed thugs react if the cops were as tough on them as they are on us? The answer to that question explains to some degree why the cops are NOT as tough of Antifa, et al. Bottom line: They fight back. They have networks - even for bailing out folks in jail. They circle the wagons around their own. But the Red Team?

Heaven’s no. We can wait to thrown our own under the bus; explaining why ‘they didn’t do it right’ and what they SHOULD have done instead. We wait for ‘our leaders’ to do something about it, while we insist that a backyard barbecue and the latest box scores are more important. And the worst one yet: Waiting for CWII to begin.

My Tagline used to read ‘The 2nd Civil War began shortly after noon on January 20, 2017’. Too many people don’t get the true meaning behind that statement. The blue team has been heavily invested in the war since then, and probably before; while the Red Team still insists on ‘keeping your power dry’. Well, not only is it very dry, it’s also now in short supply, while the blue team marches on.

If you think you are safe from the forces surrounding you, I’ll just warn everyone about the coming “false flag” that isn’t. It’ll be someone who’s had enough, is force to defend their family with force, or gets a jump on what’s about to happen to him, and as Mr. McGee says ‘Go Kinetic” . The Red Team will cry foul or “False Flag”, not realizing that it wasn’t - and giving the Blue Team to go into action. The only good news I can give is that it is them again 75+ million. If the Red Team can build an good comms/intel network up and running to at least expose the blue team, it can be effected deterrent.

What proof? Why is Andy Ngo in hiding after breaking no laws?
ANS: He’s effective. It got results. It made members if the local blue team look over their shoulder. That alone gives them pause. Same can be said for James O’Keefe and others. Our side looks for any weakness of our fellow warriors to point out.

I could go on, but I have to work. I’ll close with the “Red Team” - that’s us, need to have a serious self-reflection upon ourselves and our commitment to this cause. We we don’t have the stones of Royna Barrett or Henry Bowman, the perhaps it’s time to prepare our personal exodus.

I’ve prattle on long enough.

just my $0.02 (if only that could buy a .22 round these days)

jimjohn - OUT.

The correct tense is “has come”

The effort that will be cancelled is pure pandering to the American enemies on the left

Everybody knows that guns are required by Americans for hunting and for defense against the destruction of tyrants

“If they determine that an AR pistol with a brace is an SBR subject to the NFA after saying for years that they weren’t...this is huge and it will not end well.”

They have been playing around with the issue for a log time, and have ordered some manufactures to stop selling certain firearms using this ill-defined rule.

Power hungry tyrants love vague ill-defined rules. It lets them make it up as they go, and interpret it differently depending on their mood, and who they want to punish.

This rule has been so abused and subject to the whims of random ATF agents that it has actually used how someone holds the gun when firing it to determine its classification. Legal when held one way...illegal when held a different way.

Last time they tried to “reinterpret” the rule, there was significant push back from the 2A community, and they backed off.

One of my major disappointment with President Trump is that he did not effectively neuter these POS Nazi wanabes in the ATF when he had the authority.

It’s a real CF. We’ll see if they have the balls to go through with this interpretation change with the power of an EO behind them.

Yes ... mostly feel good BS stuff.
The short barreled rifle laws have never made much sense to me. Adding a stock to a pistol doesn’t make it any more deadly and makes it less concealable. Having a short barrel on a rifle caliber weapon will make it less powerful and less accurate.

They would love to have a fed registry and licensing of all firearms, which is what this is leading up to.

Chipman looks like someone with a lot of inbreeding in their family history.

Yep.

Millions, if not tens of millions of these out there but a muslim terrorist uses one to slaughter a bunch of White people so they'll try to use it to disarm us.

Everything is a process. Start, see if/how much resistance, counter that, then Step 2, rinse and repeat.

“The Administration is investing in evidence-based community violence interventions.”

WTF exactly is that?

My guess is that it will be used to set up paid "snitch on your neighbor" programs that will dovetail with the red flag laws.

I also imagine that some of this "investment" will be slated to enrich Soros DAs and pay off their Antifa buddies.

I watched part of his speech. He didn’t nominate Chipman to be Director of the ATF. He said “AFT,” which he identified as “The Bureau of Alcoball, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.” He effectively traded Explosives for Alcoball, and bumped Alcoball to the top of the list. He can’t seem to decide if Tobacco should come before Firearms, or Firearms should come before Tobacco, but he’s very clear that Alcoball should be at the top of the list, and Explosives are off the list entirely.

Where can I find Alcoball? Does Cabela’s carry it, or would I be more likely to find it at Dick’s? Maybe a toy store?
