Take it straight to the SCOTUS. These Dem executive orders on every bit of legislation that they know they can’t pass is BS.

That’s a direct infringement on constitutional rights by dictatorial action and has no legal basis.

Executive orders apply to the Executive Branch.

All Executive Branch agents should be required to undergo a background check when buying gun kits.

Nobody else.

Aren’t we supposed to follow the science?

Does the science say that the biggest killers are from these so called ‘ghost guns’ (which honestly I have never even heard of before today).

If ghost guns aren’t the biggest problem, why are we focusing on it? feel good orders?

- come on man - follow the science.

Not sure how he can do anything via executive order on this. Fed as far as I know is not involved in the private transfer of firearms

I predict the GOP will get right on this, no sarcasm. The only things that seem to get the GOP to take instant action on is abortion and protecting the 2A.

When I first moved to Texas in the late 1970s, it was very common to see guys' driving around in their pickup trucks with a gun rack along the back window and maybe a unchained dog running along the top of the bed.

Don't see either of those anymore.

Any government over reach on an actual right stating “shall not be infringed” is treason. Only tyrants limit or ban guns all in the “name of safety”.

The States are starting to push back in a major way regarding election laws, this should be a even greater motivator, stop this unconstitutional power grab now!

more Bullsheit

Mr. Biden has zero authority to restrict or infringe on Americans’ constitutional rights

nobody, or almost nobody, will obey such a patently illegal “order”

I for one am very concerned that the Biden Executive Order has been in the works for quite a while.

In particular, I find the timing very odd. Very recently the majority of the 9th District apelet judges voted that citizens did not have the right to “bear arms” outside their homes. See link.

https://www.ammoland.com/2021/04/ninth-circuit-appeals-court-finds-no-right-to-bear-arms-in-second-amendment/#axzz6qG0dCQLy

I anticipate that anti-2nd-Amendment legal scholars have been working on both the 9th District opinion and the Executive Order and they they will fit together like a tight glove. I expect that based on the 9th District decision that Biden will order the BAFT, FBI, and Justice Department to suspend certain kinds of background checks until the FBI Instant check data base is updated, then to modify the questionnaire process so that it is much more ambiguous potentially trapping many applicants into listing false information. Then requiring reclassification of 80% receivers and firearms parts, as firearms (without serial numbers and hence illegal to own in many states).

I expect the EO to shut down gun sales until the Supreme Court can get to reviewing it and the 9th Circuit decision. That will take months. During the time, I expect that the Senate, the House and the President will lobby the Supreme Court and put them on notice that if they vote the wrong way things in their (and their families) background will be exposed or they may become subject to impeachment.

This is going to get really ugly. By the way, when was the first shot at Fort Sumner fired? I thought it was around April 12th. Sounds about right for the Executive order to be the opening shot in the next civil war.
