BOSTON — New research suggests the protection the Moderna vaccine gives against COVID-19 lasts for at least six months.
The report Tuesday in the New England Journal of Medicine echoes what Pfizer said last week about its vaccine, which works in a similar way.
Both reports were based on follow-up tests in dozens of people who received the shots during studies that led to the vaccines’ use. Those studies were done before troubling new variants, or versions of the coronavirus, had emerged and started to spread.
A separate report in the medical journal adds to concern about the variants. Scientists measured antibodies that can block the virus in 50 people who had been given the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccines that were developed in China. Many showed total or partial loss of effectiveness against a virus variant first detected in South Africa.
The vaccines still seemed to protect against a variant first found in the United Kingdom that is now rapidly spreading in the United States and elsewhere.
Pfizer and Moderna have said they are working to update their vaccines, or possibly design a booster shot, in case they’re needed against variants.
Important to note the “at least” here. They aren’t saying they only work for 6 months. They’re saying they work LONGER than 6 months; possibly forever. But they have data demonstrating at least 6 months of effectiveness.
“In case”....LMAO.
So it’s basically an experimental piece of garbage. I won’t tell my wife though. Better to be ignorant and live ones life.
BTW have you read the disclaimer for all the vacs? At least they tell you there is a government fund you can apply to just in case the vac kills you:-)
Went through full Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 clinical trials. First clinical trial recipients got their first dose March 16th 2020 (over a year ago). Between the US and the UK, over 100,000 clinical trial participants. Published data shows they’re safe and effective against all known variants.
And let’s not forget we wouldn’t have any of the vaccines without President Trump’s massive efforts right from the start.
There have been zero cases where a medical examination has determined that a COVID-19 vaccine caused a death anywhere in the United States. Over 105,000,0000 Americans have had a COVID-19 vaccine. Zero deaths have been causally linked to any of them.
TYPICAL modern establishment medicine. PERPETUALL treatments. JUST SAY NO.
That’s not any different than getting the virus and maybe not as good.
Exactly, because they could only go back to the first vaccinations, which were 6 months prior.
I so glad you trust the government and those who funded the virus and those who came up with the antidote:-)
And yes there was NO voter fraud in the last election:-)
until next year’s variants need to be vaccinated
Bingo!
The vaccine hasn’t been exited long enough to have longer data.
Whoops — six months are up — time for another booster — time for another and another and another — This is never going to end............................AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!
The first vaccinations happened on March 16th, 2020.
The group in this particular study had vaccinations 6 months prior to the start of the study.
I did that with my wife. However, she red pilled herself and she’s at the screaming at the tv stage.
If there’s a variant discovered that can evade the current vaccines, they can be quickly modified just as we do with the Influenza vaccine every year. The new version would be rolling out in weeks; not months.
The risk of that happening is reduced every time someone gets vaccinated. Mutations only happen through replication errors. If the virus can’t replicate (such as in a vaccinated person), then it can’t mutate. That’s why smallpox is gone. That’s why polio is gone. They were around for thousands of years, and now they’re gone. Can’t mutate your way out of not having any vulnerable hosts.
Correct, still a small sample but I suspect they last similar to flu vaccines, 9 months then a slow degradation. Thus, the 1 year booster for variants until the variants die off.
They haven’t been administered for six months so how can they research its effectiveness at that point?? - just asking!!
