On April 6 Governor Greg Abbott issued an executive order restricting state agencies or political subdivisions from creating COVID-19 passports, or any other ‘receipt’ detailing an individual’s vaccination status.
The order also prohibits organizations receiving public funds from requiring consumers to provide documentation of vaccine status in order to receive any service or enter any place.
“Everyday, Texans are returning to normal life as more people get the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine. But, as I’ve said all along, these vaccines are always voluntary and never forced,” said Abbott.

I love him.
I have said all along that the only person HIPAA prevents seeing your medical records is you.
Yes, Abbott is right on this, but those who oppose such a measure will ultimately lose to the big business/leftist establishment.
I hope I am wrong, but it is not a stretch to see proof of vaccination being required for a whole host of activities in the near future such as flying/travel, attending university, large public events, etc etc.
The goal of the left is to divide and conquer. This idea will prove invaluable to them. Don’t believe me? Ask yourself why airlines are weighing in on the Georgia election reform bill.
The left has immense power and they are not afraid to wield it.
Right up your keister Obamunists!
I wish Ohio had a Republican governor.
Go a step further and prohibit businesses from creating them or demanding them...
I salute Abbott and DeSantis. To me they are heeding Ben Franklin’s adage of “If we don’t hang together, we will hang separately”.
Huh. Guess he finally saw the writing on the wall from his mask diktat, so he’s now flipping 180?
That’s a good idea, but he should go further and stop businesses from doing it, period, the way De Santis has done.
We still have the power of the consumer, as well as citizen lobbying to remove special tax breaks and corporate welfare from leftist/woke companies. We should use that.
I agree, but the GOPe rarely opposes the Chamber of Commerce.
It’s bad for their business (donations) and the media might call them bad names.
I have long tried to vote with my wallet based on my own principles and wish everyone would do the same as they see fit.
Thnx
Gov. Abbott needs to tell all government agencies to remove the mask signs from their entry doors.
The mask signs are still up at the Bell County Tax Collector’s office and the vehicle license office.
C’mon Bell County get a pair.
Vaccines kill people . . .

That’s what I’m trying to do. I’m not going to call the local Food Lion and tell them, “Hey, you, stop selling Woke-A Cola!”, for example. I will just try to convince people when I can not to buy it.
After all, if Food Lion stops moving a lot of Woke-A Cola due to a cola boycott, they will stop selling it on their own.
How long will it take for Rat Party Headquarters to find an Osama Obama appointee...
