This post isn’t making sense to me. The title is “The Case Against COVID Vaccines” and then fails to do that. Is the vaccine a waste of time and money, is it somehow dangerous, or something else? I agree with pretty much everything in the post, it just isn’t clear on what point(s) you’re trying to make. There’s a flu vaccine, so what’s wrong with a COVID vaccine?
The number of deaths proves a vaccine isn’t needed. The graph has the numbers, and the numbers do not lie. A vaccine is needed for pandemic problems, not for the common flu, especially since every year the flu changes
Our lives and livelihoods are not being threatened over not getting a flu vaccine.
Has anyone been threatened with losing their jobs, not being able to travel and a whole boatload of calamities merely for not taking a flu vaccine?
“There’s a flu vaccine, so what’s wrong with a COVID vaccine?”
We only expect people in vulnerable populations to take the flu vaccine every year. We don’t try to force it on everyone, threatening to take away their livelihood, ability to shop and travel if they don’t want it.
Got the flu vaccine once and was sicker and for longer than the flu so I never bothered getting another. When my wife started working at a nursing home, she brought home the flu or colds at least once a year but after a few years, we stopped getting the flu and haven't been sick in 4-5 years. Guess we got all the different variants or enough of them to give us immunity for all variants. No commons colds aka coronaviruses either in 4-5 years and none of us have gotten covid. I'm wondering if maybe we're immune to covid too.
I've never been one to sit still and while I might have taken a couple of days off with the flu just while I'm contagious so I don't give it to everyone at work, I usually stayed busy doing something and would work right through the flu. Work on a car, mow the lawn etc. Never been one to lay in bed or on the couch when sick. I don't feel I need a vaccine for the flu or covid. When I'm 85 years old, I might feel different about it. I don't spend any time around elderly people. If I do get covid, I won't go anywhere until I'm over it. My wife gets tested once or twice a week. Don't know if the test for antibodies is different. Maybe we had it and didn't know or maybe we have been exposed and are immune somehow. I don't do masks and my wife only wears them at work.
