Taco Bell plans to hire at least 5,000 workers in a single day later this month when the Mexican-inspired food chain temporarily converts restaurant parking lots into job fairs.
On-the-spot interviews will take place at nearly 2,000 company and franchise-owned locations across the U.S. on April 21, the company announced Tuesday. The annual hiring event is being done differently for a second year in a row due to the ongoing corona pandemic.
With an eye toward curbing the spread of COVID-19, Taco Bell hiring managers will hold the employment interviews outside in parking lots, patios and designated drive-up stations where job hunters won't need to leave their cars.

This is discriminatory.
Applicants have to have a car thus they won’t be any of the tens of thousands of hispanics who just walked across our Southern border.
If people will want to be hired. Right now, restaurants and other businesses are hurting because no on wants to work thanks to all of the handouts the feds are giving them.
To be fair, in-car interviewing reduces the likelihood that they will trash the restaurant on the way out if they don’t instantly get the job.
They'll probably have to have an ID too ... how racist!!
They will be issued burros and ponchos.
Would you go to a Taco Bell to be served by these instant employees???
Every taco bell in the area (”suburban” Philadelphia counties) is staffed by 17 year old “yutes”. You simply can’t go to Taco Bell and expect to get what you ordered.
I have a rule about fast food joints — if it is accessible by mass transit, I do not go there. If there are buses, then they hire yutes with no cars from outside the neighborhood. If there are no buses, then they pay another dollar or two an hour for local students or retirees, who do have cars.
Always look in the kitchen — if it is yutes or wetbacks, go somewhere else.
Oh great, you had to mention that. I can see a new executive order coming up: All illegal aliens get a free car at the border crossing!! /s
There’s been this new building going up next to a major street I often have to drive on (sometimes against my better judgement).. Over the last 2 or 3 weeks, it has taken shape, and I kept wondering what it’s going to be. Yesterday, I found out....a brand new Toxic Belch (my nick for Taco Bell).

Yeah entry-level part-time minimum wage work. That’s the ticket.
Yeah that’s a whole $160 a week in some localities.
As long as the government and businesses prefer the Cheap Indian Labor Express for white-collar work and the Cheap Mexican Labor Express for blue-collar work, let the handouts flow. Make the companies hiring the Indians and Mexicans pay for these benefits through huge foreign worker levies.
Once the foreign trash is removed from the US, there will be no need for government handouts as there will be plenty jobs and opportunities for all.
